I saw in another thread that there isn't a speed cap per se, just diminishing returns. ...however I haven't found a good rule of thumb as to what is optimal. Any advice?

Ooops, and I meant in the end game for a weapon that hasn't been sliced, etc.

i think best your going to get without buffs/food is about 1.25 - 1.3unsliced with fs melee speed tree/ +25 polearm speed clothing and +25 gen melee clothing
just a guesstamation though

What I'm trying to figure out is what raw, unadjusted pike speed I should be aiming to buy/acquire.
