Pikeman Archive

I don't see too many pikeman on Starsider. Until a couple weeks ago I had not seen anyone other than me with an LVA? Are there any out there alive?

Yep, I'm there too. Only I prefer the VL over the LVA

LVA for me also.

I had to finally give up on my Battle Staff after that armor rating kicked in. <you hit soandso for 3> ouch.

Now I just wish I could use styles with it. 650 health don't go too far

You probably dont see alot of pikemen on starsider with an LVA or even VL because you need to be a master pikemen for it to be even remotely viable.

A Pikemans damage-per-minute (dpm) is cut in half with the accuracy modifiers on the LVA, which makes it nearly useless.

not to mention the HAM costs... Its possible to do more damage to yourself then your enemy can do, just by swinging and probably missing)

I personally think that pikemen are bugged... There is no real "benefit" to being a pikemen, they dont have the highest damage, or the most accuracy, or the most specials, or the most weapons, or the quickest hit rate...

((they do have the coolest animations... but... bring that to a fight and i'll see you at the cloning center))

I have a Pikeman on SS as well, but as most of the others have stated the cost to being a Pikeman is high. I'm still sticking with it, though I have picked up CH to offset my lack of damage.
