good lord do I miss a lot. I realize my pikemans just a noob yet (not even novice pikeman yet) but good lord I miss, my little noob pistoleer hits faaar more often. And this is with a reinforced staff, +8 to hit not -39 or -60 or whatever the LVA and VL are. I shudder to think of using an LVA or VL, in fact... I don't think I ever will use them, I'd miss so often it woudn't be worth it. Do you all use normal lances to avoid those massive to hit penaltys?
Am I doing something wrong here? is it possible to get pikeman weapons that don't have huge minuses to hit? Or is it just a pikeman flaw that makes us miss more often then the ranged classes, attack slower then other classes, and deal no more damage per hit then others?

anyway.... Granted the accuracy is bad, even with -55 to hit.. I dont think its completely symmetrical to what it may seem. I still hit at least half of the time... and when you can take down some yellows in two hits... Its probably worth it. I mean, Im not exactly on top of other combat classes, but what other class can do 2k damage at novice? heh.
I'm an apprentice carbineer: 2400 damage, and i hit
novice commando: 1300 Pvp damage. 1300 x 4 = 5200 pve
Novice bounty hunter: LLc hits for 3k in Pve
I'm a 3,3,3,3 pikeman: i do 300 Pvp damage (tops)
You may be killing things that con yellow, but that's only because you're using a weapon meant for advanced pikeman in brawler. Once you hit pikeman it goes downhill. Cons change and you can't fight the weaker stuff to grind. I have nearly impossible fights with white conners because the game thinks i'm powerfull.
Send a novice commando at a tusken commoner. The commoner will at least con yellow or red yet the player can drop them in one hit. Because the commando isn't as powerfull he gets massive xp for an easy kill. It works theopposite for us.
