Thread: Devs U Rock, We're Almost Fixed

After hearing of people talking about mobs not getting up at all, or staying down for a very long time...I'm worried this KD change is going to be short-lived. KD, ranged (booo) and melee, may turn out to be the move of the month again until it gets re-re-fixed. Can't you already hear people yelling about TKAs being super-overpowered? I'm going to enjoy it while I can, though. Sweep2 forever!

Yeah I expect some tweaking, maybe a shorter dizzy duration. But the direction of last nights patch shows that atleast they realized they pretty much borked it last time with a 30 sec timer making it useless (along with most area/suicide attacks).

One last comment. An argument also exists that it may take 1-2 tries to land a dizzy and another 1-2 for a successful sweep (if we're using the Lance which most of us should be for surgical moves). In my experience, we're almost dead after 4 melee rounds anyways if we're figting something worthwile. Therefore, there is some risk still inherent to using it.

It's great that they fixed that, but we're not almost fixed. We still have a lot of things that need fixing, like not putting out enough damage, accuracy, toughness, ham, etc.

Right now anyone with a KD can do a perma-knockdown, regardless of whether dizzy is on.

Get your xp and credits while you can...

Weird, I tested it a bunch against Tuskens. If not dizzied, their back up in 3ish seconds. If they were, the fight was over before they were back up. Regardless it still took about 10 sec to get them dizzy and KDd.

This is awesome, opponents stayed KD'd as long as they are dizzied. Same 30 sec timer is in effect. I tested this a bunch. If not dizzy they get up after a few seconds and no KD for another 30 sec. If dizzy then they stay down a while

All we need now is better def and toughness and we'll be a rockin class.

Thanks for the fix, last night was the best fun I've had since Sept. 4th.

I think that the "perma-KD" only works on wilflife-ish creatures.

Lol, this is crowd control at its finest. If you are fighting any type of wildlife....and this goes for any type of animal....then you can perma KD it without dizzy. I was playing with Ancient Bull Rancors on Dathomir last night and this worked almost perfectly. I say almost perfectly, because it is tough to KD those mobs. Once they are down though, they stay down until

a) They are down to 1-4% HAM in one of the 3 bars

b) You do some other posture affecting special on them. If I KDd them and then did a Polearm Hit 3, then they were back to beating on me and my pet.

This little KD bug doesn't work on humanoid mobs. Not sure if dizzy and KD works on humanoid type mobs. Enjoy it while you can. This is just a pathetic little bug with huge consequences.

I haven't really played since the new patch, just been busy, but this KD fix sounds pretty nice. Sounds like I can put KD back on my quickbar ... I won't mind them shortening the dizzy effect, as long as they stay down longer. It would bother me when Id apply dizzy to a mob and knock them down, theyd get right back up. I ended up stop using KD all together, unless I wanted to use it for looks(looks awesome when you knockdown a bunch of NPCS around you )

The hotfix list had a correction to the KD effect. I have not been able to play today, has anyone tested out the hotfix? How did they change it? I know it was fun to use last night, but it was obviously a bug. I'm just curious to know how they have fixed it.
