Thread: Pikeman Isnt So Bad.

Hey guys, just mastered pikeman. it was my first love in the game when i started, but i dropped it real qiuck at first, and went for BH.
So i come back, master pike, go out NS hunting, get some pretty sweet lances. Of course my friends helped me out as well, got hookedup with +25 accuraccy attachment, and +20 speed attachment, so im doing good. I decide to duel my friend, he is a master doc/master fencer, has a 350 dmg stun baton.
I first try dueling him with a 600 dmg VL. Lasted longer than wat i expected, yet i got wiped clean, him almost with no dmg. So i go back at it, this time pop in my food and drinks to help out, and use an assortment of my DoT'd pikes. He was out in about 15 seconds, flat on his back.
So now im thinking im invincible, i go overt, and just get owned. Well that was sorta expected, i was dumb enough to chase the guy around, while he is kiting me with a jawa rifle, doing like 200-300 points of dmg, but that was my fault.
Next PVP oppourtunity i get, im trying to stop a base from being destroy, and OMFG, i wiped out like 10 people myself. I just stood at the door, waiting with my poison, disease, and fire lances. They all come storming in. BOOM! Area attack 2, they are all on fire, stunned, and dizzied, then BOOM! they are all KD'd and have a 600 tick poison on em. Well now since they are dizzy/kd i just whip out that nice 600 dmg VL, and spin 2, and the all got wiped out.
Pikeman is a cool proffession, but to be efficient with it, you NEED to go NS hunting to get lances, form a guild hunt, just to help you out.
And of course having attachments like mine dont hurt at all. Without NS lances, or attachments, dont try to PVP with pike, cause it just wont happen. I totally agree we could use something to help us, but not speed, maybe 25 more accuraccy, a little more meele/ranged def, def vs KD, and FIX BLOCK..

first off this is EXACTLY why we need to be fixed . to be DECENT we rely on looted weapons

I actually did try this, in PVE its not so bad. But for PVP your totally and utterly screwed, unless yuor fighting a novice entertainer with no other skills, then you may have a chance.
