Considering that technically only players of the game can read and post on these boards, it really shows just how far SOE will go to make sure dissent is snuffed out or at least censored, even if its their own paying customers who obviously do find some enjoyment in the game.
Why a Pikeman rant, and aquestion about a Pikeman rant being removed, was removed is beyond me - especially when you go to the Jedi boards and every other post is "OMG!1!!! FiX Uz N0W!1!! I Cnat S0lo Teh D3tHsT4rz0rZ!1!!!1!!!".
Im sure if there had been a PS at the end of it saying: The Combat Pass will fix all our problems, so we should just continue to wait passively while month after month rolls by with no feedback, concern or fixes - after all, the Combat Pass will make it all better!

Just wanted to point out that the forums areopen to the public again, but only members can post. That's why you don't have to login right away anymore. I think they had a post about it in announcements or something.
Other than that I believe mods remove posts that they don't consider constructive to the community, and as humorous as the rant was, it was basically a frustration post. Now you can question whether all of the constructive posts in the world will get any attention, and I'll probably agree with you, but flames/rants won't get anything accomplished either.

Actually that makes sense to me now, considering how awful most reviews of this gameare universally, the last thing anyone at SOE marketing wants potential new players to see is the pathetic state of many of the classes are - and how frustrated and restless some of the playerbase is becoming.

Yeah, I'm sure that "Coaster of the Year Award" and the like that was bestowed upon SWG by several magazines really put the sting to SOE. It's a shame, really, they have the potential here for a really great player experience and they muck it up time and time again by misplacing their focus on "hooking" new players with new content instead of fixing the hundreds of outstanding bugs left over from beta.
If this trend continues, SWG won't live past the Space Expansion. Those that have been hanging on will decide it wasn't worth the wait and leave. Those that were waiting for the SE to sign up will quickly discover it wasn't worth the wait and not bother renewing their subscription when their free month is up. The only people left will be the die hard fans and, with the way the playerbase is being treated when it comes to the majority of professions (Pikeman, Commando, Squad Leader, Bounty Hunter, etc.) they'll eventually be forced out by the lack of support for their preferred style of play.
SOE, so far, has a lose-lose situation on their hands. If there's not a massive reorganization of priorities in the next little bit, well, you know...
