First and foremost, my LVAs were changed to needing Heavy Acid Weapons III from commando to equip. Fire dots seem to add quite a lot to damage on top of stats as well. I had the base loot stats but it had a 190 str Action fire and it is now: 2.93 speed 413-807. My crafted VL's turned out to have over 900 damage though, so we may be out of luck there, unless you have a high damage DOT weapon. Now, I have a NS lance with a 482 str mind fire on it and it has 600 max damage. Ill have to double check with my friend, but its looking like this: Weapons have a damage cap on them depending on their skill level required. So, while that lance will be a nice NS lance, it wont be useful one bit as the damage will be capped way low. All of my NS lances, no matter what the DoTs were, have no more then 539 damage. My LVA's are smoked too. Case in point, my 790 damage LVA is now 346-663. All of my VL's, even old crappy looted ones, are now far superior to it. This isn't lookin too good for our loots.

Yea I see that on test center that the LVA is a commando item. Whats up with that? Hopefully it's a mistake. I like the massassi lance though.

by making the damage cap at a certain number for each weapon, they are ruining their original idea of having everyone running around with different weapons and different armor on. who is going to use an LVA if the damage caps much lower than that of a crafted VL does? everyone now will just be running around with VLs and Massassi lances (which looks sweet!) but i think if the changes effect my NSEL and make it really good, im gonna just ADK that.

no you're misunderstanding....... we don't get cert for the weapon unless we take up commando skills and with the prereqs for pikeman changing, we will have to have a third brawler tree ( in addition to 2hs4 and polearms4) and nov marksman and i think a couple trees from marksman, novice commando, and 3 boxes in commando, just to use the lva......

ps- also it appears that improved warcry does absolutely nothing on tc-bria

It doesn't matter if you can use it or not, why would you want to. Capped max damage around 660. Master level pikes will be used in all circumstances over it.

true, but looking at it as a melee commando

Not all will be getting master melee professions, and it can be used by those going up the trees as a better pike than what they might be weilding normally.

they new existing pikeman probably have a decent lva so they turn around give the cert to commando and nerf the weapon dmg to hell, but give the vl high end dmg ya that sure makes sense. they knew they would break it off in us, i payed 2 million for my lva to get it snapped off in my rear end yay!!!!!
