Ok the long and short of it is this, why is Master Pike TKA doc 4000, better than Master Swords TKA Doc 4000.

Apart from personal preference why in the 1st option better?

Pikeman specials reduce the damage output of mobs.

I played with both templates, and in the end, they seemed to get similar results in different ways. As a pike, I'm more useful in keeping everyone else alive, but when I'm facing an enraged Kimo, I have to pound forever to kill it, and it's hitting others as I do. As a swords, I don't reduce damage, but things fall down faster. Swords is likely better if you plan to hunt big game - Kimos, Dragons, etc. The intimidate doesn't stick too often, and doesn't reduce damage that much, whereas dropping them in 3 minutes, rather than 6, is a huge reduction. As long as you can heal up the damage either way.

Yes I have been pondering this, intimidate warcry and stun are all very good moves indeed. Really it's damage versus states, by this I mean swords vs. pikes.

I guess my only worry now is can we do enough damage, are the pike tka specials good enough ive seen the modifiers but again do the need to be turned up a notch?

So apart from personal preference, pikes is more about controlling your opponents ability to do dam, and swords is all about hitting them on the head, which is fine and good but if they are a high end mob, dam will not win the day state control will or will it?
