Pikeman Archive

I'm enjoying the Pike, but its kind of brutal on me to. It will get better, yes? Did they put a developer with self esteem isssues in charge of this class?

On a serious note: any advice of how to advance through the pikeman class would be greatly appreciated

it gets much better. just have patience and crunch some numbers and get master as soon as possible. Hitting someone in PvP for over 4k damage is the best thing to happen since sliced bread.

If your hoping for accuracy to improve, stop hoping, it doesnt heh. Only thing we can hope for is one of the devs to actually play pikeman themselves and see how horrid it is. Even at 2/4/3/3 i missed, was counterattacked, dodge, or blocked 12 straight times last night against a deflier.

I'm a Master Pikeman and it took me a while to master pike, but when you do it is very rewarding. Try to go with a big group to Dathomir and do big hunts, make sure you have a good medic or doctor or combat medic. You will get alot of xp out of the creatures lairs. That is how I was able to master it, just be patience, is very rewarding.

I'm also a Master Brawler and Master Creature Handler.

I've been a master pike for a long time, I can easily say it does *not* get better. WE are, by far and wide the worst melee class in the game, and go look at the player count numbers, we're also the least played profession next to JEDI PADAWAN. x_X

The only reason I mantain my pikeman masterhood is because I'm too stubborn and much too masochistic to give up.
