Has anyone tried to get an ordinary lance done with krayt? (if that is possible)

In that case how good was it?

I'm not a WS, so I can't be definite, but the Krayt equivalent for melee weapons is Rancor Teeth. The problem is, Rancor Teeth replace something in the schematic, whereas Krayt Tissue is an addition. Ranged weapons get the component+Krayt tissue bonus, while our Rancor Teeth just become the component.

Krayt anything does not work in melee weapons, unfortunately.

So rancor teeth can be used in pike weapons then? I was told by a master WS that they couldn't

I belive Rancor Theeth are a component that goes into the vibro thingie. So any weapon with a vibro unit can use it, Vibro Knucler, Vibro Blade, Vibro Axe, Vibro Lance, Long Vibro Axe. Do power hammers use vibro units? SHoudlnt' they be caleld Vibro Hammers?

Im pretty sure Rancor teeth replace the sword cores for sword type weapons.

The Vibro motor enhancements are what would go into the Vibro weapon components so no Rancor teeth for us.

Darth is right rancor teeth replace sword cores and a sword made with them has worst stats then a smith made one the only thing we have is vibro motors you need a full set of 4 looted all with the same serial number too make a long axe and you need 3 too make a vibro lance the highest power motors in game are 27 power if a smith uses them the pre slice damage on axes is around 420 damage so about a avarage of 50 more points damage .... thats weak compared with a krayt dragon gun they are up in the high 700's with good tissues.....

how about the advanced components from Nym Elite Guards, are they worth the trouble trying to loot? I heard somewhere that these looted vibro units help a lot...could be someone blowing smoke though.

bout 50 more points of damage with vibro units used compared too a none vibro motor enhanced so yes having the vibro motors does make a more powerful axe it also realy enhances wound chances my vibro motor axes have on avarage of a 52% wound chance....

too bad krayt pearls dont work for us hehe

yes which you would think it would and not on range but id be content if itd work on both....

not only does krayt not work with melee.....but rancor theeth, like everything else benifit TKA much more than Pikeman.......

take for instance you have an exceptinal Vibro knuckler with speed of 2 and dammage of 150-200

and a exceptinal Long Vibro Axe with speed of 4.4 and a damage of 150-500

lets suppose the rancor teeth you find has a EXCEPTINAL value of -0.6 to speed and +70 to damage

on a vibro knuckler the end result would be a 1.4 speed with 220-270 damage knuckler

and the LVA would be 3.8 speed with 220-570 damage

the VK got a 30% increase in speed and a 45% increase in damage, whereas the LVA got a not 8% increase in speed and a 14% increase in damage.

once again speed is valued more than damage and we are left in the dust. Just like with berserk.

Now since the TKAs pretty much allready out do us in DOT this makes me even more mad than normal, thank god i don't know anyone who even uses rancor teeth, i'd be angry.....and turn green, and big.....and...and ...RAGHHHHHHHH ARK SMASH!!! Counterattack, miss, counterattack, dodge, miss
