Hi All:
As I am working my way up Pikeman (0-0-3-2) and have a few questions now that I have started getting into more of the inner-workings of Pikeman.
Question 1: I have heard Vibro Motors are the only added enhancement to Pike Weapons. I hear Droidekas on Lok drop them as loot. What benefits does a vibro motor do and is it indeed worth the expense of trying to find one? I think I am going after some with the thought that any enhancement to my LVA is better than nothing. I am hoping it reduces speed as my best LVA is 3.6 now (100-356 dam).
Question 2: I have never used weapon power-ups. I have seen a few posts talking about them and was wondering what power-ups should I buy and what are the stats I should look for?
Thanks in advance

1. I don't think vibro motors can actually be used in polearm weapons, I've been told this by a few master weaponsmiths I asked.
2. As far as powerups go: I personally like to use +15% max damage, -32% mind/action HAM cost. You can also get ones that increase speed or health HAM cost. The stats are +32% primary/+15% secondary, and you can usually mix and match primary/secondary targets from HAM, speed, max/min damage, range (I don't think range is available for melee powerups).

The vibro motors can be added to the vl and lva but you need a minimum number for the weapon + 1 additional for creation of the schematic( LVA 3+1=4 /VL 2+1=3) all of which must have the same serial #.
This is assuming you get a perfect schematic and no errors in the final crafting of the weapon. Of course you can get errors in the crafting of the Vibro motor schematic and the final weapon so more then a minimum is better if u can get them.

what does the vibro motor add to the weapon? Is it worth the trouble of finding all this? Thanks for responding.

There are three types:
Extra damage (from +20 max to +27 max). At best, meh.
Extra speed (-.2). Easily ruined by a lousy slice, tho, and not much of a boost to begin with
Extra Wound Chance (+5). Simply meh.
