Ok, in my skill box it said Block +5. What is the world is block?
Does it work only against creature? or it is a bug?

...sorry, but describing block as a bug was just too funny because that's just about how good it is today. Hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow with the new patch and all ![]()
although, right now, for xp...all I'm fighting are creatures, and a few mobs....who usually switch to unnarmed when I close in...so I haven't really tested this against a blaster.

I wouldn't count on it. I'm betting it's "working as intended"...
Block is one of the passive defensive maneuvers along with dodge and counterattack. Fencers have dodge, swordsmen have counterattack and pikemen have block. You're not going to see any noticeable difference until you get farther up the defensive line in pikeman. There are issues with block - unlike dodge and counterattack, both of which evade incoming damage, block still allows damage to pass through, at a slightly decreased rate.

Dang, so it does reduce the dmg...I was hoping i was seeing things, you know, hoping it was totally broken. At least it would mean that it wasnt working as intended for sure. Now i just dont know anymore.
Now why in heavens name would the devs put a skill like that in game? If block is working as intended and its supposed to let us take some of the dmg, we'd better have at least 200 block to make up for that. At least we would block more dmg than then rest but it would all even out since we would still take some of the dmg while they would escape unharmed with a dodge/counter attack
Hehe, well, there you go: Working as intended!
