Thread: Well, As a Pikeman I lost my only edge

I have several NS weapons and now that the Tuskans drop them, well, fencers will be the top dog from now on. Only TKMs and Swordsmen are lacking in the DOT weapons. Not that TKM really needs them, the dot would never make it past two ticks as their dps is so outrageous.


As a pikeman I am at the bottom of the heap again.

Tusken Raiders have always dropped G. Batons, just rarely - very rarely for any with special stats.

Nyax also drop 1-handed weapons with DoT effects, and have done so for quite some time. I've never seen any that were particularly impressive, though I have no idea how whatever the tuskens drop compares.

I've also looted both a CDEF and D18 pistol that do health poison. I wouldn't be surprised if there are poison vibro knucklers and two-handed weapons floating around somewhere too.

Really though, the vast majority of DoT effect weapons are one-hit deals to apply poison or disease before switching to your main weapon. Only with the really high-end stuff is it worth continuing to fight with.

My guess is you haven't perused the swordsman forum lately and seen some of the 'uber' two-hand swords that have been dropped lately.

are you referring to those supposedly two-handed weapons posted in this thread? I thought those were only NPC weapons at the moment?

Nightsisters vary in difficulty level ALOT higher than Tuskens, or Nyax.


This makes their DOT Strength alot higher, and therefore in THAT sense Pikemen still rule.

Thats the one. TH said that is part of the new loot drop system either later in that thread or in another thread.
