I'm thinking of doing pikeman just not sure how well it'll do in pvp. A lot of people I have talked to on my server say its great for pve so I figured hey maybe it's good for pvp. I was figuring that with SEA's and some accuracy food I might do ok . does anyone know if this works though? and how well pikes can do with that stuff in pvp?

In PVP pikeman can beat anyone, the most feared name on our server is a guy named mesk, he is a pikeman/doctor, he can take out groups of 10 by himself, (glad im on his side) but he spent A LOT of time/testing/investments into this.

Mesk has probably spent millions of credits, to buy attachments for acc/speed, and to buy a nice dot weapon or two.

Pikeman is fine in PVP, but be prepared to spend a lot, go NS hunting, and get sum good loot, before you even try. Pikeman are totally dependant on DoTs and we shouldnt be, but thats the way the wheel turned, and we still can prove that pikeman are not useless.

this i wat you must do:

1. Have skill tapes/plates
2. Have DoT weapons
3. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE, its all trial and error

Pikemen can be good in pvp, the problem is that it's a requirement to spend millions to be as good as other professions are with player-crafted weapons and good pvp armor.

ya unfortunatly pikemen is reduced to using DOT pikes in PvP. sad but true . i think every server has atleast one pikemen who owns in PvP. in the day of massive template stackign my good freind and guildleader at the time . neacabon was one hell of a pikemen. granted he was capped in seas for acc/speed. what realy made him crazy good was his 900 mind tick Posion "Sacred pike " and the 200 damage Mind fire. it was evil bolth the pots were 80+%.. was sick.

getout ther get loot even if it isnt nightsister loot get any loot you can thats good sell/trade for good pikes.

i keep readin all these posts about how Pikeman in PvP don't stand a chance....I disagree....but from what i've seen, rifleman and fencers are the best classes for their respected genres(ranged/melee)....BUT....Pikeman can definitely hold their own...one of the previous post advises, "practice, practice"...definitely a must...but any class has their own uniqueness and advantages in PvP....

As a Master Brawler, Master Pikeman, MHS, 4/3/0/4 TKA, i do quite well in PvP....the PikemanAOE dizzy and AOE kd rocks...and u can get the kiters w/ lunge2 from master brawler...once on the deck, i switch to MHS and go to work on the mind....so far, i've got about a 90% success rate w/ this template.(killed 3 at once in 1 case...a fencer, a pistoleer, and another toon....during this time i had tusken warlords draped all over me:smileytongue and intimidate2 is INVALUEABLE....

currently tho, i have my pikeman @+93 spd w/ SEA's, which makes a TON of difference....ibarely use CoB, and do not own a DOT pike....instead w/ my spd, i use a high dmg pike(576max) and if i stick the kd/dizzy, i just pound away.....(that's if i don't switch to MHS) so far, as mentioned above, the only problems i have is w/ fencers and rifleman....every1 else goes down w/ relative ease...as for PvE, nightsisters don't stand a chance!!! 'cept them damn elders

give it a shot...i think u will b pleasantly surprised!!!
