Thread: Master Pikeman or TKA

I am going fencer and want to do more. so im decididing between mastering tka and 2-3 trees of pikeman or opposite. friends are telling me just to get the defensive trees of pike and do TKA for PvE but i wanted to see what yall thought

From my own experiences we can (with crafted lances/axes) out damage TK's, especially when it comes to multiple targets.
If you are simply after PvE and defence stacking I'd not bother mastering fencer (unless you want to PvP). We certainly out damage them (both in PvP and PvP), although in PvP even with the same defences (through dabbling) we are affected by the higher HAM costs. Every time I've fought a fencer and lost its been both miss....both miss....both miss, my HAM bottoms out...they finally hit. Every time I've manged to land a KD, they have never stood back up. They do win more often though, they are the real kings of PvP. PvE, we own over them by far.
Anyway, for PvE I'd forget about most of the lines in fencer (i.e. the offensive and dodge ones). As for TK, take at least 2-0-0-4. Meditate, etc are a god send.

I would go M Pike/M Fencer/TKA 4xx4. This would allow you to pvp (M fencer) and PvE (M Pike) very well. You would also be able to powerboost, cure wounds, dieseases and poisons, and be maxed out on ranged and melee defense. Also if you have enough SP, master brawler would be nice for the 20m KD.
