I am hoping someone can help me with my stats...

I have been playing as a pikeman from day one and i am very frustrated that i still can't solo some missions that i see my friends doing. I have trained medic and scout skills to heal my damage and use stim packs but i can' t help but feel my stats are ALL messed up.

Could anyone with a decent template post it? My question is whether we should be Health,Action, or Mind heavy. Which ones work best...

Any help will be appreciated.

Well, if you have enough medic to use stim c's or d's, you could try to boost your mind, especially willpower, at the expense of health and action secondaries maybe. Compensate for the decrease by using tatooine sunburns more often. It's an expensive setup (sunburns/stims) but it may work for you. This is personally what I use, but I go through stims like a mad man. Increasing your mind stats is always a good idea at any rate, especially if you'll be using stims in a fight.

Generally speaking, most new players jack up the Health and Action, at the expense of the mind. As I progressed, I lowered my Health/Action in favour of Mind. Specifically Willpower. As a Zabrak I can equalize my HAM bars, once every 45 mins or so. This works great as a last minute saver.

However, as you decease your Health/Action, you'd better be able to replace it. As a near Master Doc, I can buff the crap out of myself, making HAM costs negligible. Also, stim E's make healing short work.

A few well chosen pieces of armor help. An excellent helmet, to help save the mind (I found one with 65% resists, and super low encumbrance), and Chest armor, to take the bulk of the damage. These pieces dont affect me much, but save me a ton of pain.

As an example, while being overt, I was attacked by a Bounty Hunter. His pet distracted me, while he spammed eyeshot. Yes, I died, but after I took a look at the Combat stats, and he eye shot about 15 times, before I dropped. Helmet took most of the pain. Being a melee helped out too. Considering I wasn't expecting a fight, nor could I find him (in front of starport, tons of peeps), I thought I took the pain quite well.

Don't be so proud of this technological terror you've created. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force.

I am a human andi have my Health maxed at 1100, my Action is about 985 and my Mind is around 750 (i think, im at work right now so i cant check). The Strength and Quickness and Focus are as low as they'll go. This is because i found that having them maxed out only lessened my special move ham costs by about 3 points ... thats not very good considering there is about 200 points between min and max for me. So there is about 50 points into each Constituion and Stamina to help a little bit with regen and the rest into willpower wich brings that up to about 580ish (again i cant remember exactly cause im at work). I use a StimC every 4-8 special moves because by them my health and action arewaaay down. andI'll be at full HA again.. andmy mind regenerates fast enoughso that ifI am not fighting something that targets the mind pool it will stay pretty full for the duration of the battle.

I've played with my stats quite a bit the past 4 months and I've found this to be the most effective for me.

also the only armor i wear is gloves and thats more for the look.

Hope that helps.

I am currently a Master Brawler/Pikeman considering picking up some defenses from other profs. Is it worth my while to pick up Counterattack and/or Dodge if I just plan on using my pikes? i.e. Will they be useless because I need the proper weapon equipped. I plan on getting TKA to get Melee Defense up, is there anything else I should consider? Btw I dont PvP.

I am Master Pikeman with 1/0/4/4 Pistoleer (for the defense vs. skills, as well as ranged defense) and 4/0/0/4 TKA, so that I can heal myself, and have even more defense, and the Defense Acuity to be higher. PvE wise, I am ready for anything, just be buffed. Was on a hunting party on Dathomir, whole group died but me, they had gotten hit with the dizzy from the Engraged, and couldn't get back up, but I never got knocked down, and killed them all and the lair by myself.

My sig sucks.
