Helloall,

Havent delved into the skill tape arena yet but I have a few questions I hope you can answer for me:

1. What different types of skill tapes are useful for a pikeman? Speed, Dizzy, etc?

2. What is the maximum limit for each skill?

3. Can these be made by Players or are they loot only?

4. Interm's of armour slots, what would you say is the absolute minimun you should look for on an individual piece of Armour.

Thanks in advance.

1.) Block, Polearm Speed and Polearm Accuracy are the only tapes you will see benefits from. The rest do not work (Polearm Damage) or have neverworked (Polearm Evasion and Counter-attack).

2.) +25 is the max for each skill. You can add more, of course, but you will not see any additional benefit.

3.) Skill tapes are loot only.

4.) 4 slots if you can get it (you might want to add other bonuses like defense against dizzy/knockdown and bleed resistance).3 socketswould be the absolute minimum, I'd think.

Additional Notes: Skill tapes are VERY BROKEN in case you didn't know. You can't add two enhancements of the same type to clothing or armor and get the bonuses to stack. If you have an attachment with one or more bonuses, usually the one with the highest number will take when you add the attachment and the other bonus will vanish into the ether.

If you are going to go the skill tape route, invest in armor items that do not decay (with 4 sockets, of course) and use them to place your tapes in. The items that do not decay are the Ubese shirt, the Ubese bandolier, and the Mabari belt. That way, you never have to worry about losing your attachments to decay. I usually put attachments with high bonuses (+6 or better) in these and then place +1 and +2 attachments in each piece of armor, as they're usually cheap and can be easily replaced when the armor goes kaput.

Are the equivalents to the ubese bandolier, etc., for Wookiees?

Nope. The closest we can get is if you get some clothing attachments and stick them in arm wraps to wear under your bracers. Currently, skill mods on clothing continue to function just fine even when the clothes reach 0 condition. That's supposed to change in the future, but it works for now.

I'd recommend holding onto any really good attachments until the other wookiee armors come out. I assume the nondecaying shirt, belt, and bandolier are unintentional, but maybe we'll get lucky and get something similar for wookiees. Either way, they'll almost certainly make the current armor obsolete. They had better, I'm sick of going through 2 chestplates a night.

Incidentally, it's worth noting that the bandolier can't be equipped at the same time as a backpack.
