As the title implies, I need some PvP help. I have PvP'd in the past but in the last month I have really gotten into it and look at continuing the trend.

When I go toe/toe with a Jedi I get whooped. It seems that my time is spent healing and not hitting. Does anyone have some insight on how I can do better? Strategy, food, whatever...

I wear RIS

1020 Pup'd VL

Your constructive feedback is appreciated.

I will offer a few tips, however not sure how much use I will be

Try keeping your foes stuned and intimidated, this will reduce their damage output significanlty.

Make a Bacta Infusion macro to help you keep a heal on non-stop, allowing you to concentrate on other aspects of the fight, possibly use a heal macro too (I havent been medic/doc since the CU so I have no experience there)

Use SAC powerups, when combined with foods such as Blob Candy and Spices (for you I would recommend Booster Blue because it does not have a -% on action/mind regen, it will have a -% on health regen), these combined with buffs will allow you to keep up good action so youcan use your specials. To counter the accuracy penalty on the SAC Pups, take a crispic.

I am inexperienced with armor since CU as I do not wear armor lol.

To help your defences, make a center macro (just look on this board and you will find a thread with one in it), this will boost your defences significantly since you are only a single melee prof. Eat foods such as Pikatta (if it still works) this will help too.

When fighting a fully temp'd Jedi, it isn't really much of a surprise that you will get beaten 1v1 since they got uber heals, and if it is a defender - uber defences. However, you may have a fight when you can beat the Jedi. I would recommend to use melee hit/strikeas a default attack and keeping him stuned and Intimidatedand let the Jedi do his attacks (draining his force) and healing when necessary, in between his assaults, attack in a burst fashion, something like Armorbreak, Sweep attack (would say lunge but it got nerfed) then Impale/Leghit/Impale. This will probably take a portion of his HAM and then cause him to need to heal. If you could keep up that, using mind regen foods for your healing, then I think you could pull off beating a Jedi, it would be a very hard fight though, and likely against an experienced Jedi PvPer then it may prove difficult.

Either way, if you win or lose, I wish you luck lol and I hope I helped somewhat.

Well if you have Master Medic in that setup as well it's just a matter of 1) Understanding your heals and 2) Using states.

Providing you do it correctly, you should be able to just about own PvP

Things to remember

Bacta Spray, Bacta Toss, Bacta Shot, Bacta Jab, and Bacta Infusion do not run on the same cool down timer. This has the effect of being able to stack heals if needed.

Food and Spice are a must at PvP.

Low SAC/medium damage weapons are better then high damage/high SAC weapons.

Special Tip: If you are a Zabrak Pikeman, use Equlibrium when you get too low on mind. If you have full health, your mind will refill as well.

You should think about getting improved center of being if you have the sp availible to do so...it will help out. Make sure you're using a variety of foods to get the most out of your stomach

Does Equilibrium still work correctly? I tried it when the CU first hit, and I didnt see it do anything lol (not very observant if it did lol). If so, does it allow your action bar to be replenished?

Don't use a VL against a jedi because they could use a PSG, use something with kinetic damage like the kashyyyk bladestick or Poisonspike

i have the same temp and I also have an almost full temp jedi, if the jedi hasforce aura or the melee tree ofdefender then forget it, I gaurentee you have absolutely NO chance of winning 1 on 1 against a jedi with defense and substancial force (if they know what they are doing anyway). However, if they dont, just keep them intimidated and stunned with your cob macro running (of course) and a infusion macro, even if they have some defense you should be able to weather the storm until they are out of force and then BAM!...

It is working now, It maxes all 3 pools to the level of the highest one. It has a 1 hour timer on it for the reuse.

Nice that will now be put in my toolbar!

That could be a great saver for me, if I am low on Health and Action (my mind never moves lol) I could Equil and be as good as new yey. If only it replenished force too rofl

I swapped templates from master pikebabe/ tkm / 4xxx doc

to my current master pike babe / master doc / xx31 swords , and to be honest I prefer the master Doc version.

Never underestimate the value of the speed buff . pop a canape and a breathe of heaven , a version of a bleed resist food you like and grab your favorite kinetic damage pike and start waxing master defenders.

As long as you use timely heals, and do not over-heal and burn up your mind, you will outlast his/her force . Yes that is a generic blanket statement, but in 75% of the solo pvp fights I have been in, it has worked out that way. Sit back tank and let him burn force , drop a heal when you need it , then once he loses force drop the hammer on him. Pop him with stuns, dizzy, warcry, and intimidate as often as possible.

Kinetic pikes seem to do better against jedi, they almost always wearing a psg , and most old-timers that still pvp have a rotation macro to swap out psg's as they burn out during a fight. in fact 90% of the jedi that play nowdays could NOT function w/o all the automated macros they run.

oh almost forgot, use sac pups..the longer you can do specials the more damage you will do. out of action = love-taps.

PSG is only effective against ranged energy attacks. (At least its supposed to be) Thankfully we as meleers dont need to factor that into consideration, use the best polearm you have at your disposal.
