Blah ... After today's patch I'm just gonna drop pikeman (1.2.1.1) altogether... call me when SOE wants to take us seriously.

Again, these patch notes are just a straight copy of the Test Center notes from a couple of weeks ago. They left us out of the notes then and it just got copied over. Test Center had the expected updates for us, just not shown on the notes.

Did you even look at your skill boxes? We are MUCH better now... I can solo Piket Longhorns instead of hiding behind the pistoleers.

Well the core issue is that we are weaklings - every other class is more powerful than us. So they gave us extra features last patch .. they ALSO gave those extra features to the other melee classes. It still doesn't help PIKEMAN. What about HAM cost? Accuracy? I've dropped pikeman .. went total crafting. I'll retake pikeman when its fixed.

yeah, they screwed up. but, at least at master it isn't too bad.


with the +30 accuracy i am more likely to hit than miss, of course now all they do is counter attack and dodge, so it is kind of bad, and we can't block if our lives depended on it(and it does)


What pikeman REALLY need is more toughness, that is about it. Every thing else if fine(at master at least)


accuracy isn't bad, we miss, but it isn't our bane.


HAM costs can be delt with with sunburns......a pikeman with out sunburns is doomed, THAT is a fact. It cuts off about 120 Health cost each time i swing.....it gets mostly drawn from the action and a little from the mind, the sunburn helps to regen the action though. For other profesions like fencer sunburns are pretty useless, becouse they draw from mind mostly, and sunburns actually make it draw an iddy bit more from mind than before.


what has helped me more than anything now, is sweep followed by hit 3 or sweep 2 followed by Spin attack 2.


When they are knocked down our damage goes thru the roof. Aside from other melee proffesions(becouse of toughness)....if i can hit my opponent, i can kill them in two swings almost every time.


the only REAL beef i have with pikeman is the toughness now. We can't really hurt TKAs beccouse their defense is so high, but ours is so low that they can beat the crap out of us, and quickly.


oh and one thing that is REALLY nice. those area attacks we have, now reach 12m....i just go in doors, i can generally hit everything in the same room

zengal, (tatooine) sunburns are drinks that give some buffs.
