I have a quick question for my fellow Pikers. Even though I've been a pikeman on my secondary-character-made-primary for as long as i've had the game I've never posted to the boards. I am not a Holo-Pikeman nor will ever drop Pikeman,regardless of whatthe holocron says.

Anyway, to my question. While doing imp missions on Dant last night I found something that seemed to work against kiting mobs. Polearm Lunge. It seems to have a little bit more range and knocked my kiting targets down to kneeling position. My question is how reliable is this tactic? It seemed to work pretty efficiently whenever I tried it. Think it worked 3 out of 3 times and on two of those was able to move in for a successful sweep for KD.

before I got knockdown that is about all I could do to a mob to get them to stay still for any amount of time. It is fairly effective, though even if you hit with it it does not always effect a posture change. Many times if a mob was kiting me I would throw one of these and even if it missed sometimes the npc would pull a melee weapon and attack me, so even when failing it worked well. One thing I have almost never had it work on isa rebel general...these guys will run you across the world if you have autofollow on them, they just don't stop. So I guess attempting to answer your question, I found it effective in most cases.
