I have found that this class is FUN!! I use to be a Master CH -0/1/2/3 BH, and honestly can say that I enjoy playing my toon now alot more then I did then. I am currently a Master CH/Master Medic and 0/0/3/2 in Pikeman.

Being 5m from a MOB vs 60m is really quite a rush, especially when adds start pouring in. I have never played a melee charcter in any game where there was a ranged alternative, and now I see what I have been missing. I plan on once I master Pikeman for the holocron, to stick with it.

No real reason for the post, I guess, just to say I am having a ball, and thank god a holocron told me to master pikeman or I would have never experienced it. Any other holo pikeman going to stick with it once they master it?

There you go, that's what it's all about! Wait until you get higher in the tree, you'll see noticeable improvements you can't even imagine at the moment.

At first i dreaded pikeman ... my holo also told me to do it.. while doing the polearms part of pikeman i was wondering .. how the hell am i gonna get through this whith missing over 50% of my shots AND drawing aggro?? now that i am 0/0/2/2 (allmost 0/0/3/3 i'm starting to enjoy it .. I CAN HIT!! those bonuses to hit are really really needed.

I am a master ch and won't give it up .. so i do know i'll end up having to surrender pikeman .. but after i'm done and do a few more other lines after the silent treatment (from holocron) i will be picking it back up.

When swg started i wanted to do bh . and din't know what ealse.. friend of mine really likes polearms and started doing pikeman .. i picked it up with him reminding hime of one saying.. Don't bring a stick (knife) to a gunfight. Well the way pike was broken (it's not as much as it was back then now) he got disgusted with it and went master weaponsmith because of the shortage of good melee weaponsmiths out there.

Me .. like i said.. i'll have to lie the pike down on my "Path to enlightenment/ultimate power" but after .. i'll pick it back up

To me Ch/pike seems like a very good combo.. just seems right that the guy that would be riding a dewback with a graul next to hm would have a nice prodding stick to beat others down with..

My holo said pikeman, i almost cried. I have never even seen a pikeman on my server, yes a swordsman or two but never a pikeman. Well since making novice i have been having so much fun with my pikeman. Never have i had so much fun getting XP before, everything was always such a 'grind'.

i am a master doctor with 2-2-1-2 Pikeman skills and always go in battle buffed. I recently got to see the huge ham costs you guys are always talking about when my buffs wore off mid-battle, made me feel like a carbineer hehe. So i always use the buffs as to never see the ham costs again :-)

I was a master doctor/master combat medic and always stayed out of the fray, but I love being in the middle of the fight now. Anyway just wanted to say how much fun I am having with pikeman, cant wait to get master.

I second that. I've only started on the Polearm tree in brawler and think it's a blast. I'm hoping my
next holo is silent so I can keep it.

I too am holo challenged. I was a Master CH , 0/0/3/3 pistoleer , 0/0/3/0 Ranger and 2/1/3/0 medic.

I have given up all marksman skills now and eventually will give up Ranger.

I am just 0/0/0/3 brawler now and saw things improve when I got my long vibro axe. I love pulling back on the camera and watching my specials the red flash really looks cool. I hope my next holocron tells me Doctor so I can keep some pikeman. I really like CH but Pikeman is starting to peak my interest. Just wish when I am solo grinding xp other people would not horn in and try to "save" me I can call bigger pets if it is too hard for pete sake.

HAHA This was an amazing coinsidence I was just about to make a post that said the same thing . I starts off in pikeman because holo told me to but now that I have been playing it for the last cou0ple of weeks 1/1/1/2 I have totally gotten into it Im currently a master CH novice medic and novice pike man and I have now decided to stick with pike to top it off I won an auction for a LVA last night that is a 2.2 speed with a 190 to 660 damage I used polearm hit 2 and was hitting for 5800 damage looks like th xp will be coming alot faster now .
Only issue is Im a wookie so I have to do it with out armor Grrrr! Well off I got to beat the pulp outta some more rebel NPC's hehe

When I first started my pike at launch, EVERY single fight i would scroll out and watch myself, it was so awesome. I still occasionally scroll out to watch "ME" in action. The pikeman moves are truly fluent. If you have never scrolled out to watch yourself, you really should. Then again, maybe im just vain, lol.

I started pikeman once before, and stopped halfway through to master commando for some PvP action. I ended up getting a holo that told me pikeman so I figured time to do it. But I think I will be keeping the skill cause I have had so much fun, I am actually thinking about picking up another melee skill and just tanking for my group from now on.
