I'm a ch/riflemen from bloodfin but as a joke, we hooked a friend of mine up with some 70% special kinetic advance ubese and made him fight krayts with us...

We were really shocked by the results...

He took 80-120 damage from the krayt... when he went unarmed and used his TKM speed mods, it almost never hit him... We sat and had him tank krayts for us while we blew it up and laughed as we kept our pets back sent them in only when his mind was taking a beating...

A krayt hits for 1500-2000 damage to an unarmed person... the way it hit him made him feel like super man...

A juvenile krayt did only 40 damage...

Not sure if any of you knew this but pikemen are really strong, slap a bleed on the nose of a krayt with a vibro axe with armor piercing 2 and 50% wound chance, that's 370 uncut, 490 dmg cut, almost 600 damage with modifier... and you just placed a bleed that will kill the krayt as long as your mind holds out...

Anyone else find that kind of cool? thought I would post it since we tested it out... we made even more powerful advance ubese off of Krayt Scales, I personally wear it because of the 2.5 times melee damage thingy my rifles bring me... my current advance ubese is 80% because of hte scales I used...

So before you go blaming the in ability of your class... try armor, it helps...

If your in Bloodfin server, Ehril makes 70% advance ubese and if you bring him the scales, he'll make it better for you.

sounds good for aTKM, thats ok, his ham is low, ours arent, we do a spec, we loose 200ham, so even if he hits us for that low, then we miss a lot more as well, our speed is WAY lower, and then the armor takes ham as well, i will not say, "its impossible for a pikeman", since i havent tried, but looking at otherthings i've tried it probably wont work for a pikeman, and for that matter, almost EVERYTIME we have tried what a TKA can do, we have failed,... seriously, i could take 800 of my ham in about a min,... but then again, i will probably try it... to show that ppl still cant compare us to TKA's...

speaking as a TK, nearly TKM AND pikeman combo, there's no comparison. 26 or 28 polearm toughness vs. the 58 toughness on unarmed is a big difference, and toughness seems to be based on a percentage reduction. polearm takes a little less than twice the damage, from what i've seen, with no armor being considered. ..... so in my case, slap on the advanced ubese, smack a wicked bleed 1 and 2, then switch to unarmed, /center and hold out.... pike is just a support class, primarily for the bleeds on big critters like krayts. currently (although i am NOT a master) pikeman can't really hold it's own quite yet.

I use to wear it all the time till i raided earlier today. I can't afford to insure it so i lost it all. Thank you Sony for making a crappy game even worse. I appreciate it, **edit**

Its only 2000 credits to insure a set of armor? and 70% advance ubese on my server runs for 70-100k, just being able to buy it is pretty tough?

Hehe, I wouldn't dream of not insuring an armor that allows me to only take 100 dmg from krayts

I would like to look into that more, I have adv composite now that has a nice 70-80% resist on it, but if I could go with the cheaper ubese when I fight animals I would do it in a heart beat, with the new decay on items, I can keep my composite for when I take on rebels. Anyone know a good armorsmith on Intrepid that makes the stuff?

Wow you went high class... that's layered composite with super high hams, that's awesome you went to that extent.

But at the same time, Adv ubese is 70% maxed out and about 3/4 the ham cost of regular composite hehe

With krayt scales or kimo scales or some scales... it jumps to 75-80%+

Hehehe, cheaper, more affordable, and more replacable

I have some Advanced Ubese. It's impressive, but not so impressive that I'd just walk up to a krayt with it. It is nice when I'm soloing klikniks & tybis on Yavin, though.
