Pikeman Archive

Ok umm.. yes, my post under "Re: State of Pikeman" was a bit wordy although descriptive, it wasn't really helping the point.. Until I battled beside a new friend of mine who's master 2-handed, I was considering this class underrated. I don't like to be the one to rant instead of making constructive criticism, but I just needed to get this out.

I mean, granted I'm only a beginner in pikeman, but she was doing 1000s and 1000s of damage to whatever we fought with amazing speed... After seeing this and then reading the few posts that were made while I was writing my last one under that thread and a couple recent ones, I'm now questioning sticking with this class.

I just hate to be a follower, and I already did that with making my 2nd char into a TK. I seem to have a knack to really enjoy the most jacked up classes in the game, maybe I'm cursed. I was master squad leader waiting for the devs to fix it.. eventually ran out of patience... I'm a carbineer.. (i know it should be mentioned in that section of the forum, but talk about unbalance.. the BH carbine skills are amazing, and those who dedicate their lives to one type of weapon do more damage to themselves than others).. and now I choose pikeman, which is currently more worse off than any other melee class, now that I've seen a comparison to other melee'ers... My main reason for choosing pikeman is the look of the weapons, the appreciation for the multiple target fighting style, and because it fits well alongside carbineer with doing action damage.

I really hope the devs look into this.. trust me, when I saw that last update and all of the updates made to the 3 other melee classes, and not even an honorable mention of pikeman, I was a bit peeved myself. I've been dealing with the lack of updates in my other chosen classes as well (*cough carbineer, squad leader cough*). I do understand they are still working a lot of things out, and I do like their new Politician/player city/ mounts update, and I see notice of a lot of balancing to be coming next patch.. but they REALLY need to impress this next time around.

I'm still holding out for space expansion, because it's my main reason for wanting to play this game... but seriously though, if they keep neglecting all of the lesser used classes and concentrating on the **edit** BHs, CHs, and TKsand then fail me on space expansion; I'm going to have no choice but to go play WoW or FFXI
