when i kill a creature, how come it alway says 'cannot extract resources in your current state" why do i get this message and why cant i harvest my kills?

you are eithor,

sitting, stunned, dizzy....try standing up or wait till the effect wears off.

You cannot harvest while still in combat aswell, I believe.

you can also get this message if you're too far away. I think 14m is the max distance you can harvest from.
