Well, I've just got master carbineer + master doctor.

I did pike last summer as my first profession, and it sucked really bad then

So I was wondering if Master Carbine / Master Pikeman would be a good choice, since they both mess up the target's action pools and stuff.

Or, is it just not worth it, drop carbine,and do Master Pike / Master Doctor? Because i've already been that, but about 10 months ago...so it will be different I suppose.

I pretty much just wanna be good in PvE, so feel free to put in any opinions as to what you think would be decent.

Master doc master pike blows any other pike template out of the water imo for pve. Those 3k heals with a stim e can come in handy, not to mention the self buffing and all state effect removals.True you dont have blast damage, but you wont have that either with carbineer.

As for taking another profession that messes the action pool, you can only handle one weapon at a time .

You say you want to be good in PvE. Unless you have a tanking friend, you will face many enemies in close quarters. You are well off imo with a melee profession. The melee damage mitigation really reduces the damage the creatures deal you. Also you can keep dangerous enemies intimidated, possibly stunned (even less damage dealt to you).

In short, I recommend a melee profession, and pikeman isn't that bad.Doctoror carbineer, heal and buffyourself (doc) vs a bit more defenses and another damage type [energy] (carbineer).
