To my real message. I am a Novice Pikeman, and In most PvP cases, I would kill my target in one to two hits. No fun. in fact, I as planning on making a post about nerfing PvP damages, becuase by the time I hit master with a Long Vibro Axe, Ill be one shotting everyone and everyone will be one shotting me. Anyways, Ive been killed by pistoleers, Rifleman, all ranged and melee alike. We used to be fair becuase they would kite me and kill me in three or four hits after bleed shot. I got one hit and died. Coulda have used a little nerf, however, this is ridiculous. Just a few moments ago, there was an Imp raid on moenia... Im at the shuttleport, and I go ahead and fight one of them... I must have been hitting him for over 30 seconds, or more, and I wasn't paying attention becuase Im used to doing big damage, and I figure hey, the patch nerfed PvP, so I figure Ill have 500, 600 hits, maybe a little less, maybe a little more. Needless to say after 30 seconds I took out about 150-250 health. And then he killed me in about 4 shots. I mean excuse me, but aren't we supposed to own in melee range? I mean, this guy wasnt even moving or doing specials, and Im hitting him for like 78 damage?! Throughtout the whole raid, on a guy WITHOUT armor, I git for 300 or less, usually in the 100-300 range. Now, I went from maybe 1.3k a hit on someone WITH armor, to 100-300?? Isnt that a tad impossible? Im hitting, and I see the numbers go 78, 132, 85, 314, 34.... What the hell is that? Then he started moving and I was hitting for like 20 30 damage. Doesnt that kinda defeat the purpose of pikeman? Arent we supposed to be feared at close range? When All the sudden I do sub 300 damage and they're poising, blinding and bleed shotting me, and then after all the start using specials! They had THAT much time! polearm hit2 did sub 300 damage... Maybe Ill stick it out a little longer, but a novice pikeman is just as hard to get as halfway through elite professions, ESPECIALLY with a little lance, and not the good weapons. However, I cannot just DROP PvP, as this is star wars, and that makes PvP and intergral role becuase of the GCW, I dont know what to do besides start dropping my melee and going ranged, which I really dont like the idea of becuase Im attached to my pike. In conclusion, I really believe most of you are not seeing this properly... we were uber, but you could kite us... we did deserve a nerf, but this is ridiculous. Sropping this game seems really good right now, as they screwed my time spent levelling and whatnot. This is utterly ridiculous.

he forgot that when he did his specials he still hits himself for some 150-200 HAM costs....no good when you do about 100 damage.

He must not be fighting that many people PvP wise, because I being a Master Pikeman can get my ass kicked by a Fencer who is 2/3s his way to Master Fencers. Master Pikemans are the strongest melee class, but our speed is what kills us, and in PvP in this game, speed is all that matters. If that guy in the StarStrider forum went up against a fencer, he'd get frogged to death and there isn't anything he could do to stop it.

FYI: For anybody that doesn't know what frogging is, it is when a fencer does a lunge + dizzy or anybody does that for the matter and you are so dizzy that if you try to stand up, you fall right back down because you are so dizzy.

Hmm, I was hoping things would get better with pike, I have sweep now and am slowly getting xp. Interesting how other melee can gain xp faster, probably cause they hit more and have a higher dps.

Well, I still think of myself as a pikeman but I find myself using my firearms more often than not as I want to kill the rebels as quick as possible and I know that the LVA just wont cut it in a PvP fight.
