I recently got tired of healing people, and decided I'm more of a brawler type person. I want to go pikeman, not because a holocron told me to, but because there is a purpose.

Currently I'm just a brawler at 4001. I intend to also be a master brawler. So what is the best place, weapon, etc. to get up to novice pikeman?

Thanks.

I couldn't really tell you a great place to start except for easy stuff that wont kill you. However, you should get a basic polarm weapon and slice it for speed. Speed will be your biggest friend in the pikeman world and I sudgest you go up that tree (far left) first. Once you can use a long vibro axe, be careful about when you use it because the HAM cost on it is ridiculously high.

Daelmar - Lowca Galaxy : Master Pikeman / Master CH / Medic 4-3-4-0

Pikeman : The only class that couldn't hit the ground if they droped their weapon.
Pikeman : Doing massive damage; to the air surrounding our target.
Pikeman : You're dead meat, unless you happen to be standing in front of us.
Pikeman : Because the devs were one profession short.
DEVs : Pikeman? Thats a class?

for polearms (or any other beginning melee) one and 2, if you can do it fast even polearms 3, just kill teh small junk outside of a town really fast (i got 1-3 in about an hour and a half like this still not too good but, meh, best place is mos espa imo) anyways, after u get polearms 2 get a basic lance (i got one with 270 max damage, 3.6 speed damage sliced up to 344 usin it as master pikeman) with this u can use this forever, positive range modifiers and low ham costs. for 4, i suggest killing something like womp rats, they are not too incredibly hard if u get some ubese or somethin, also scyks are good for xp but a bit harder cuz of group aggro. gl
