I went to 3-0-3-3 pikeman from novicein 3 days.......heres what you do.....

1. Get a mount

2. Get high Ubese Kinetic Armor

3. Get a Buff

4.Get a mount

5. Go to dantooine and do huurton huntress, howler and stalker missions.....they are about 3-4k a kill, and easy to take down.

Voila, easy fast exp. it doesnt get any easier than this folks. This thread should hopefully stop all those help Newbie Pikeman Threads. Hope i helped you

Well since ya are on a mount you won't be using specials... (exept cob) you can actually handle the swarm of them? wow.. I've got a set of advanced composite (most pices exept to have 79%ish resists across the board. i guess they don't hit as hard as pikets do .. i avg about 2.5-3k per kill on them.

Are you using a pet? are you stimming up after each fight?

yeah huurtons are very good xp for pikeman. I hunted them with a pet or two as well as pikets.

I declared war upon the pikets of Scylla for my experience.

if you get good doctor buffs you shouldn't need to stim up after each fight, your regen rate is awesome. Also I tend to get off the mount and fight on the ground since I have all those buffs it is basically free specials. It is a must to be buffed though. I also have a full set of kenetic resist composite, so that helps as well. Spice is a life saver if your mind is started to fall, pop a moun gold and feel safe once again. BTW I sell crates of the stuff since I am still a smuggler at this point. I love pikeman, with good buffs you can basically fight the herd all at once and with our circle attacks it goes pretty well...if you can hit them!

yea to clarify, i meant to get a mount for fast traveling from the mission terminals to the missions and back, not to fight on. Also i dont stim because when you have high kinetic Ubese and a doctor buff, you wont need it ....regular Huurtons give you about 1400exp, and huurton stalkers give you 4k exp, and huuron huntress give you 3.5k exp......my point is its not hard to get pikeman exp, master pikeman can be done fairly quick.

O yea i forgot to add, I do not use any pets to fight.....I am the tank, THE PIKEMAN!

hehe yea that is nice.. i've been getting doc buffs across the board but i keep forgetting to get a couple of crates of muon for mind.. though those dancer/musician mind buffs are awsome (and no downers to worry about mid combat!

my advice:

Dathomir

join up with group for a boost of terminal

get 2 kamurith defiler missions west

head out, complete missions and keep heading out to this wp: -2599 +1530

now, slice and dice nightsissies who are too busy fighting mountainclowns

if lucky(I'll leave it up to yourself to define 'luck'), you get this each trip out:

ca 120 000 expe from kamurith missions(each kam(12 of em)gives 4500-5000 exp + 4500-5000 from lair)

45-46 000 creds from kamurith mission

a nice time at battlefield, perhaps some uber LVAs

downside, you have to boost the terminal with a group

How do you do this Braglor? Both kinds are aggro to me. Do you do the missions to get mountain clan faction and then go and drag nighstisters to the mountain clan side and then help them? (since now the mountain clan faction won't attack you after you get the faction?) Any help greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I don't do it anymore cause they nerfed away the terminal and the 12 kams à lair missions are gone. It's a bummer yes, but there is always the possibility to join a strong group(that means a group with a lvl50 pet, doesn't matter if all are masters... weak!) and get bolma pack missions. However, these WILL group aggro so be prepared for a fight

Thanks Braglor, but what I mean is do I get faction with the singing clan before I go there (to the waypointyou mentioned)so I don't get attacked by the singing clan?

I heard you can't ever get enough faction with nightsisters for them to not attack. So, can you get enough faction with the singing clan to not get attacked?

Do the missions you speak of give positive singing clan faction?

Have to agree with the original poster... Huurton Huntresses are the way to go. I pretty much went up 3 boxes in Pike Defensive yesterday. These guys are even better than the pikets because you only have two out at a time to deal with and if you go about it right you can take em on one at a time.

They also seem to go down much faster than the pikets. Just /sweep and /polearmhit2 and these little doggies are toast.
