I'm a starting pikeman, and I had2 questions.

but 1st, let me tell you a little about myself. you might find this amusing.

I started as a brawler, but I never mastered it. why? because I wanted to be a bounty hunter from day 1 and if any of you recall, when creating a character back then, it said on the brawler class that they got to be bounty hunters eventually. LIES!

so, i dropped brawler early on and went marksman/ scout and eventually BH.

Months later, enter in Holocrons (I know what yer thinking, just wait till ya read the whole thing.)

so my 1st holo says architect. did that and artisan.

2nd holo said dancer. did that and entertainer.

3rd holo said squad leader... working on it

After dancer, artisan, entertainer and architect though, I NEEDED TO KILL!!!! >8=

so i grabed a staff and started whackin stuff. and now, I'm novice pike. hehe

which brings me to my long overdue questions...

#1, why the heck cant I ever hit anything? i'm always at -50 no matter how close I am.

#2, is there a way to remedy this?

I beleive it's Stances your thinking

My guess is that you are using the Long Vibro Axe. It always had around a -50 to hit. Some better, some worse.

Want to miss less?

Put the axe away. We are certifiied for it way too early. It will kill you long before the bad guy does.

Find a bunch of good lances, slice em, hope for speed.

Climb the tree that increases accuracy (cant recall which one), first. Defense?

That will help. Damage will come later.

Stances is for Speed. The one on the far right (Support?) is the accuracy tree. It uses all Combat Exp so you can build up your speed at the same time. Which is a good idea. I just got the first speed block the other night and I'm noticeably faster with the LVA. Also, I've missed as much as 7 times in a row...however, a majority of the time I hit. But accuracy is still something I want. Just a note, though...missing vs. a group of Rancors while your pet is almost dead is not cool.
