Tortons are big scarey looking things that are fairly impressive to behold. They drop wooly hides, so one day my friend asks me if i want to help him gather hides for some armor he's making. I agree to join him.

At that point I was almost master TKA, and he was a master doctor.. we buffed up assuming we'd be in for a good fight since at master level the Ravenous Tortons were red to us still. We pulled a couple missions and went out to fight the tortons... Our first mission we came across we sent our pets in to distract them, and then ran in after the tortons... within 3 to 6 hits the tortons were down.. we were kinda shocked.. apparently our kinetic knucklers went through their shells like warm knives through butter.

My second character, Lims, I am working on getting up to 4000 tka, master pikeman.. the 4000 tka is so i can meditate off wounds and also use powerboost. I think having that will help me go up the pikeman tree more quickly. Well at unarmed 3 I decided to go to rori and see how unarmed 3 would stack up against tortons.. I didnt see any ravenous tortons around so i checked the POI and there was one called " pygmy torton cave". They sounded like small tortons so i thought that would be right up my alley. I arrived there and encountered reds at the front door.. two juvenile (or maybe adolescent.. forgot which is weaker) pygmy tortons.. both con'ed red to me. both attacked me and I proceeded to cut them down in a matter of seconds.. this got me 500ish unarmed a kill.. i worked my way deeper in and encountered the adolescent (or juvenile.. forgot the order) and killed it.. 800 unarmed.. once again took only a few seconds without using any specials. Further in was an adult.. still red, but it went down with me healing myself maybe twice with my novice medic skill.. btw I wasnt buffed at all for any of this.

Next I encountered a mature torton.. much bigger than the other tortons.. this one was more of a challenge.. there wasnt any worry of me dying.. it just took longer.. since each hit i landed was doing only 80-90 points of damage on a creature with 8-9k ham. At times in this cave I got ganged up on.. multiple reds would aggro me.. I was only worried when it was two matures or two matriarchs at this point.

adults gave 1850ish unarmed.. mature and matriarchs 3250.. but they took a long time to drop.

the matriarchs are dangerous because they would intimidate you, stun you and dizzy you.. they also blinded I think..

So these were the things I was killing at unarmed 3.. with a set of 65 kinetic ubese on. I havent started really working my pike yet, but when i do ill be going back there.. pike is slow though... so it will probably be harder to kill them all.

when i go unarmed 4 i could run through that cave, kill everything in it in about 10 minutes and come out with about 40k unarmed.. unfortunately the respawn there is very very slow.

At unarmed 4 I decided to go test myself against the ravenous tortons which were red to my TKM.. I killed one using only my knucklers.. no bleeds or anything like that.. took along time though since my damage was low and its ham was huge.

I suggest you guys give it a try..

wow thanks for posting this..they are so easy to kill. Now i can level up much faster with no buffs or special attacks

yeah.. and i was wrong.. you make about 25k clearing the cave
