Pikeman Archive

I dropped pikeman a long while back out of frustration.

I'm trying it again. New character already has Master Doc - so I'm going to start levelling up Pikeman now. Having done this once already, some time before, I think the current status of pikeman can only exceed my past experiences (I hope)

I'm am however a little frazzled at the fact that in the FAQ it says that pikeman is not a good PvP template... Do you really believe this guys? My understanding is that until you get up to master - you are going to have a lot of problems. I got up to 2-1-3-2 last time, and when I quit I was still kicking the crap outta my swordsman counterpart... and that was WITHOUT doc.

So a question must be formed in this post - so here goes: Have many master pikemen given pvp a chance? What are the strengths / weaknesses? My role in PvP that I envisioned, was with a team - in a base in close quarters... Doing sweeps to take down multiple opponents, and letting the team chop em up when down.
