So I've been hearing a lot about the Energy Lance - apparently you find the schematic in the Nightsister caves on Dathomir (looted from the head boss?), and then fill the schematic with vibro motors...

I also have heard that vibro motors can be used in the construction of ANY vibro-based weapon... But the question remains:


Where do you find vibro motors

Also what kind of specs are good on the vibro motors? Which ones should I junk?

The required units are Nightsister vibro units, found in the same place off the same nightsister as the schematic, Axkva. Base stats seem to be 25-30 dmg -0.3 speed. I've seen them go up to the 80's damage. Don't junk any of them, even the 25-30 ones are better than most Nym units.

Okay - now I had only heard of the Nym's Followers (?) ones ... so basically only Nightsister and Nyms drop them eh? I had a weaponsmith tell me that unless they are of a minimum quality, that NOT using them will produce the better weapon, as the weaponcrafters' vibro motors are better...

Any truth or fable to that?

The nightsister vibro units are a required component of the energy lance.

There seems to be a conflict of names here.

Vibro BLADE UNITS are the whole component that goes into VK's, LVA's, VL's, etc. These are what you loot from Axkva Min.

Vibro MOTORS are what you get off of Nyms/Droidekas and they are used to enhence Vibro Blade Units. To use these the weaponsmith has to actually pop this into a vibro blade unit that will then go into a weapon.

And FWIW, LVA's take 3 vb units, VL's and the Energy Lance take 2. Most other weapons take 1.
