Thread: something that tends to be overlooked by us all
Sorry to tell you but unless you have some other combat profession other than pikeman, your dodge and counterattack mods are useless. Dodge only helps fencers and counterattack helps swordsmen. Neither are useful to pikemen.
I myself, have been trying to purchase SEAs quite often. The biggest problem I run into is that the good tapes and attachments are purchased rather quickly by the holo-grinders withvast quantities of cash.
I'm not poor, mind you, but I sure as hell don'thave 1 million to spend on a +5 polearm damage tape. Nor would I spend that kind of money if I did.
I hate to say it but I'm on the Ahazi server and a few well known money dupers (who have since been banned) have pumped billions and billions (no exaggeration, we're talking running through town tipping people 100 million credits) of credits into our economy therby flooding the market with cash. An even bigger problem is the CSRs who will not remove the money from the game even after knowing the money was duped!
I can't and won't compete with that kind of cash. Finding SEAs on my own is also a problem because sadly all the spots that are known for SEA loot drops are camped 23/7 by afk looters whos only job is to sit by magseal containers and loot every 30 minutes to make vast monies for their guild.
Its a sad state on my server when honest players can't compete but its something you have to deal with and move on.
Hummm... One of my guildmembers had a run in with a CSR concerning this problem, and she was told that this system of SEAs is going to be "fixed". Then again, how valid is something stated by a CSR? I'll try to get some screenies of the conversation

heres how my attatchments stack on my guy with all mods included i have these:
+10 ranged def (2 aa'kuan rings)
+4 melee def
+25 pole damage
+8 pole speed (working on getting more)
+24 pole accuracy ( just need to get a +1 and im done)
+13 warcry/intimidate
+16 def vs. stun
+6 def vs. blind
as you see i have become quite addicted to attatchments...2 or 3 good pole speed ones and ill be set!

amen......this same camping happens on my server also....afk...30 min macro....its lame...the worst part is...there vender is less than 1k away form the cave.....selling them for 1000's.....
