Yes you can, but it takes time... so long time

Without exploiting, without dying many many times and taking an entire day of running back from the cloning center, I will say no. You have no bleeds, so you'll be fighting a krayt with high kinetic resists, heavy armor and a couple hundred thousand points of HAM with just your pike. If you could find one that no one else killed, you could spend the entire day and kill one. With a decent bleed from a 912 max dmg LVA and taking as many swings at it as I could while it was warcry'ed, I got it down 10-12k before it eventually warped on top of me and slew me, and I was buffed in 74% kinetic armor with heals/food/spice. I used to be able to solo a couple at a time...now we can't do much anymore.

you can still kill those Juveniles though, and they drop just as good as the others.. They got like 50 k HAM... Problem is, they almost always spawn with a normal krayt, so you might want to do some seperating there, unless you can get them to aggro eachother They're easier then the NS protectors

I can't say I've tried the juveniles post-publish (I think I will now, maybe I can actually kill a normal krayt with some more effort), but I never got much of anything in the way of loot from them. Maybe I just got the poor ones.

humm.. I feel I must comment myself here: if they do attack eachoter, you go for the big one ofcourse. Nothing's like having a Krayt tank for you

Hmm Exploiting as in running behind something?

Well if this thing is going to kill you and cost you money to get healed and break your armor and cloth for 4% then i think it should be ok to hide behind something.

I dont do it but i suppose if i didnt want to fight it i would hide yes.

But people running around all day looking for them (then trapping the mbehind something (COMMANDOS LOL) is exploiting.

But then again it is not exploiting, how come they can run through houeses but not harvestors lol, its a bug.

it was always my assumption that the big Krayts were for grouphunting? Oh well.. they still need to be balanced more out

hmmm dont think it is possible anymore after the big krayts got so much bigger, mind will be gone quick, and eventually it will cause enough wounds thats buffs wouldnt matter

LMAO. It is impossible (without using an exploit) to solo krayts.

I went with friends tonight to dig up the scythe blade schematics. We got four in all. We actually tried to fight the first krayt. Had him down about halfway before I got dead and well ... that was it for the rest of them.

With buffs, I can take a krayt for a real long time. Heres the thing though. For me to beat a krayt myself I would need a few things. 2 master doctors constantly bping me, and 2 combat medics to heal my mind as well as throw poisons at the beast.

Tonight, even with one master doctor bping me, my mind gave out halfway through. I was skyed up on food and spice, as well as powerboosted. I had 2200 mind pool going into that fight and it STILL gave out.

Without massive support there is no way it can be done.
