The news that we expected to come about Combat Revamp.

Folks, I totally understand how angry you are right now. I can't tell you how difficult it is for us to have to move your revamp back... but I really do feel that it is the right thing to do for all parties concerned, and for the overall state of the game. The large systems we are revamping really need our full attention. We have been absolutely killing our designers, and they need to have a life. This means not crunching them 7 days a week for months at a time. We did not want to rush out some crappy revamp for you in order to fulfil our commitment. We also strongly feel that some aspect of smuggling should be done in space, so it makes sense to do it after JTL. I am so sorry, but I think it is better to be straight up with you guys than to mislead you about what we can do, or put out something that we, and you, are not going to be proud of. We are at the FF right now, so TH and I are going to be fairly unavailable at this time, but we will spend some time with you next week. Again, my apologies, but we want to make your profession all it can be. We can't do that right now, but we will. thx, Wow. Just when my faith had been restored too. You can let the devs know what you think.

Well at least the two publishes of Jedi will give 1% of the players something to do!

It certainly is.

But heargument still holds it's ground. This game is geared more and more towards Jedi.

Yes I do believe it is about smuggler but it shows how much Jedi are top dogs and how all the rest is nothing in the game. So If you a Jedi then it all good you will always get what you want. Smugger been a revamp before there where Jedi. Guess what pike men need help before Jedi. It just shows the next publishes are for Jedi and combat rebalance is second. I my self think that it should be the other way around, but I am not a Jedi.

Well, in all fairness, if this means the Smugglers can avoid a "revamp" like the Image Designers received (in which they became the single most hated profession in the course of a single mini-publish) then that's not necessarily a bad thing.

However, we all know SOE's track record here and a delayed revamp means, basically, no revamp at all for the forseeable future...possibly never because I don't see this game lasting long past JTL. In confounds me to hell and back that a company with so much capital on hand is consistantly short-handed and can never get anything done, even when it comes game-breaking issues, because their schedule is full and/or they don't have the manpower. That, my friends, is some serious mismanagement somewhere in the chain of command over there.

(And these forums are a joke. I should not have to log in 3 times, being sent back to the front page every time I do, to post a reply.)

This does suck for the smugglers, but in all fairness "the large systems we are revamping" may also be referring to the combat balance. If the combat balance comes at the expense of the smuggler revamp being delayed I can live with that.

Of course, the combat balance being delayed for the jedi idiotfrenzy is just irritating.
