I was wondering if the pikeman around here ever considerd getting block of rifleman to compliment their defences, and if it was of use, pve or pvp wise?

anyone can answer that?

Well, before skill attachments, block is capped at +125 and at Master Pikeman you have +115, so adding more block from rifle won't help but +10 only. /shrug

hows block rate with COB and without for pikeman?

In my experience block activates roughly twice as often during CoB as it does without it.

Ive got master pike and novice rifle for +125 block. it works very well in PVE as you take half dmg when you get hit. i think it works maybe 1 in every 2 hits and makes a noticable difference.

I have a master Pikeman/Master Rifleman. Block mod is 195, presumably capped at 125.

PVE, I seem to block way more with Pike than with Rifle equipped. Using COB, before switching to Rifle improves the Rifle Block. COB and using Pike, I block like a madman. No hard statistics, sorry. Great animations too, when you are surrounded by baddies and blocking their attacks. I tried that Block food or drink, but don't think I noticed a difference.

PvP, I hardly Block much at all, with either weapon.

I block all the time with and without CoB in PvE (always on CoB in PvP) and the same goes for PvP except when stunned/dizzied/intimidated/blinded/etc. etc., but still do block a bit.

I'm master pike/master rifle, my block is at +195 right now. Although it is capped at 125 I am unhittable in PVE and get hit once or twice in PVP before my opponent is elminated.
