Hi guys 
The title of this post is a bit strange but reflects totally where i stand right now 
I plan to start Pike with a friend of mine on a new toon (never tried pike before though we both mastered sword / tka on different character) and i have troubles seeing exactly where to go at first, i mean, how to build my char effectively.
Thats mainly because i dont find a reliable source of info regarding the specials of the Pikemen and their effects
I reckon we should get the "stances" line up at first (speed) ? Or maybe is it "support" (accuracy)? Or maybe Defense first for the KD (sweep is a KD right?) Oh, well, i'm confused If anyone cant help me out or poiting me to a website with clear description of Pike special attacks effects i'd be really glad ;-)

Since i'm there with stupid newb questions :
i someone could indicate me the average stats i should be looking for when buying my first LVA or VL it would help me alot (like "dont buy a crafted LVA unless it has xxx min / max damage"

There's a good guide here on how to level pikeman.
For weapon stats, I'd look for an LVA with around at least 370 max and a VL with 295 max as the mininum stats you should be looking for. If you can afford to, buy your weapons in crates and have them sliced, you'll generally end up with a couple of good speed slices and a couple of good damage slices from a crate of 10.
Its also worth looking for "Lightweight Vibro Motors", they're a themepark reward. Whilst they add to the HAM costs of any weapons they also reduce the speed slightly and will often bring the ideal range mod into positive numbers!!
You can often find these on the bazaar under components. Find yourself a friendly weaponsmith who will make some polearms for you using those parts and then pray for a speed slice while you're levelling.
