I have a buddy making the perfect pikeman weapon. Because of the slow speed of the weapon i was thinking he should do complete experimentation on the speed of the weapon. Then i am going to take it to another friend that is going to slice it for speed. Do you think this is a waste of time? Do you think i should have full exp on HAM costs? or damage? I think speed is my best friend as a pikeman what do you think?

Speed and damage are a result of the same type of experimentation, you can't do one without the other(unless you get a "moderate success," then there's no telling what might happen 
.
Honestly, speed isn't that important, once you get at least Stances II, your attack is fairly fast. I'd prefer a damage slice on my polearm. I'm 2/0/3/2 pikeman right now and could use a bit more damage.
My advice is get a damage slice instead of speed if at all possible. Don't worry about experimenting range mods(I tried when I was MWS, you might be able to ungimp the range on it, but the damage/speed will suck as a result). HAM cost is ugly, but it's workable if you're careful.
Ultra's right though, NS is better

Im a Novice Pikeman.
Can any one tell me what is the weapon name for top level pikeman use, please?

Could you clarify? Do you mena what is our best weapon? or what is the highest level certification we have? well our best weapons are the Long Vibro Axe and the Vibro Lance. Vibro lance is the highest cert at novice pikeman.

i ground ( is that the right tense ) out pikeman, with a speed sliced LVA and speed P'ups............ wasnt bad, 11k Huurtons on Dant.................... and i got all the Combat XP with TKM
