My combat alt iscurrently master pikeman and TKA 4-0-0-2. I will eventually be TKA 4-0-04, Fencer 4-0-0-0 and master brawler (for PvP)... I might add more Fencer and TKA boxes if I drop all my scout.
Thing is I started hunting NS since I got master pike and I'm having mitigated success. I wear 85%+ sliced composite (non-stun), full buffs, and 2 swigs of brandy + synthsteak when I'm about to tackle 2+ tougher NS. I do ok, but suddenly I start getting owned and there is no coming back, although I heal myself a lot with top notch stims B and medic 2-0-0-0. I do not have uber weapons yet, just good damage-sliced crafted ones and no NSEL. I need help:
- Which specials do you use the most?
- How do you initiate a fight? Do you go for intimidate first? Bleeds? Do you even both trying to duzzy/KD?
- I run a CoB macro, of course. Any other macros you recommend?
- I have a feeling my weakness is they sometimes pull stun weapons I do not see. Do you fare well with stun composite against NS since the resists are often lower?
- Bleeds might be another problem, or other DOTs. How do you counter those?
- What foods would you recommend as the standard "lunch" before NS hunting?
Any advice would be appreciated. Please avoid answers that would drastically change my template, such as ("get doc", or "drop master pike"). Slight alterations would be ok.
Thanks for your help.

Hrmm...Well first off...TK and Fencerdefense stacking is great, but in the pvp game that is now dominated by jedi, i find it pointless to defense stack. Synth is good, but wafers are better, allows you to pop them much faster due to the low stomach filling aspect. Master Brawler is very nice for pve/pvp, but i think if you want to kill ns the way you sound like you do...don't waste the skill points on TK and Fencer and get Master Swordsman. Master Swordsman and Master Pikeman are probably the best two professions as far as PvE goes. Master Swords can do massive Damage as most things have low blast resistances, and as far as pikeman goes, if you get a uber lva or ns lance ie over 1k dmg, you start using that bad boy on jedi and you will quickly become known. Master Brawler/Master Swords/Master Pike/2340Medic(use of stim d's and e's and ability to cure the nasty bleeds that NS can apply at times. YES i know that is probably considered a drastic change...but you can master swordsman in a 3-4 days and you can get to 2340medic in a hour or so. But for attacks...i tend to spam area, for it has a good dmg output. But First and foremost..you MUST warcry/intimidate...but thats just my $0.02. Hope this helped you.

Since my first response was eaten by the forum (or rather my own carelessness), this is the condensed version.
1) Intimidate, intimidate, intimidate.
2) Initiate with intimidate. Bleeds are ok. Dizzy/KD is useless against higher-end NS (but ok against the weaker ones). Against a single NS, action bleeds + leghits are the single quickest way to kill something.
3) Macros can't adapt quick enough to be useful. Additionally, if you're fighting a protector or elder forget about using CoB at all. You will never block against them.
4) If you don't have a stun layer and someone pulls out a baton, run away. Stun layers help more than you'd think, there's an automatic 50% damage reduction due to the baton having no armor piercing in addition to whatever resists the layer itself has.
5) Bleeds can get very bad in some situations. 2xxx medic is enough to cure them, and extremely helpful for solo NS hunting.
6) The usual foods. Synthsteak, brandy, etc. I prefer ahrisa over canape in most cases because it lasts longer, is less filling, and I generally need to worry more about draining my mind with specials than regenerating it from damage.

yep...i agree...and remember...warcry can stop them long enough for you to heal a couple times so the bleed isn't as bad...cuz ns can and will stick you with some 1k+ bleeds...but the CoB...i alway have that macro running in case the elder brings friends...she might not miss, but if her friends do...i'm good with that

Awesome feedback... thanks! I already see too many swordsman andI was hoping to be a little original and use pikes mainly, especially since I already have a TKM and grinding swords on 2 other servers. I thought Flurry could be the pike server. But I'll see how it works, maybe I'll do swords eventually... who knows?
If others have insights, keep them coming, although what I got so far is great!
Thanks!
