Hello fellow pikies,

I just became Master Pikeman, Master Brawler, TKM and I have some SP left to put into fencer.

I thought dodge would be usefull to pvp, so I was thinking about picking up Fencer xx4x.

Will this work? isit any good? are there better alternatives to spend my 20 SP that I have left?

I'm pretty sure that dodge will only work if you have a dodge related weapon equipped, i.e pistols/fencer weapons, same way your block will only work if you have rifles/pikes equipped, so to answer your question, it will work, but you will probably never have those weapons equipped with yuor main profession being pikeman.

A better alternative would be to do a defense tree in the fencer profession, they get the best ranged/melee defenses out of 4xxx (i think), or great state defenses out of some other tree (x4xx i think).

But if it was me, I don't start a new template without getting at least novicemedic first. Hope it helps.

yeah I got novice med too, 2xxx, forgot to mention it, thanks for the advice

Buy some pikatta pie. It adds a 50% chance to dodge any attack for about 20 minutes. I'm pretty sure that it works with a polearm equiped. The difference is like night and day when I'm on pikatta.

Pikeman can't use dodge, they are limited to block.

No worries, Well if you only have 2xxx with 20 points to spare, along with decent stacked defenses from both TKM and pikes, then i'd recommend going 2x4x medic, this wayyou can use Stim D's or E's with the 40 med use, they heal for over 1500 per heal, I have it in my current template, and to be honest pve (and pvp against jedi) it's a lifesaver.
