I'd love to see ns drop their armor so us pikemen can do some one-stop shopping at the stronghold.

To the best of my knowledge, the NS bicep is no longer in the loot tables. If you do happen to find one now you could probably get 20 million for it easily.

When it was still available it wasn't actually armor, as in it had no resists. It was more like the tusken clothes that drop, but only equippable by females.

I wish I people would stop posting about NS biceps. I looted one waaaay back, and had no idea what it was, or how rare they were, so I just kept it in my house.

Then after a month or two I was clearing out and I gave it to one of my guildies (my character is male so can't wear the thing). That guildie has now left the game (to all intents and purposes), leaving the NS bicep to be destroyed with his house, and it is only now I realise how much money those things are worth.

:-(

Anyway, to get back on topic, I had always thought there were 2 basic ways of tanking:
1. Encase yourself in as much heavy armour as possible so that blows do very little damage.
2. Be very nimble so you are very hard to hit.

To me Pikemen would take the former approach, so I would like to see some form of very heavy armour for the pikey, similar or equal to composite for stats and weight. I would imagine that as pikeman would be engaging in melee attacks that the primary resist on the armour would be for kinetic damage, with secondary (lower) resists for energy and maybe stun (to give us a bit of protection from ranged attack until we can close to melee).

I agree. Swordsman and Pikeman should get heavy defense armour. Our weapons are slow so we'll get hit more but can take it. Fencers and TKA's should get light armour but rely on their nimbleness for defense mostly.

Basicly TKA should be fine with no armor and pikeman should be giant hunks of metal swinging around a giant weapon

Maybe we'll actually become ponderous butdeath dealing giantswe were meant to be. Long Vibro Axe is one of the most deadly weapons in close combat my %$& (excuse the censored profanity).
