Thread: Who should really be slow and miss like crazy
I was analyzing the4 classes of weapons we have on the brawler profession and came to the conclusion that if anyone should be slow and miss a lot, that one would b the 2 handed-weapon users. This might have been discussed already but the search engine on this forum is the worst thing ever so im gonna go ahead.
Now grab a metal bar about your size, with both hands on one end of it. Swing it around. See how hard it is to recover from each swing? Ok that would be for a sword which is balanced for combat. Now imagine adding a few pounds on the opposite side that your holding the bar. That would be a axe or a hammer which is the swordsman weapon (go figure).
Now using the same bar, choose 2 points of balance where you feel more control over the bar and put your hands there. Swing around as if you were attacking someone with it. Dont you have much more control over each swing? Cant you swing faster than holding with both hands on the same area?
I personally would rather have the pikeman professions asmaster ofdefence, which as most people have pointed out, makes more sense.
Just my thoughts, what do you think

anyone acutally had a staff fight?
i have, its fun, and its mostly defense but its not that Slow and it shouldn't be that inaccurate, the only time it should be as hard to hit someone for a pikeman as it is on here is A.) too far away, no not 4m i mean even vibroknucklers get 5 we should have about 10m or more, fighting creatures they can hit further than that melee.
B.) fighting another pikeman because of the defense
C.) the other person can dodge well.
but lets face it we are a rare breed and its going to take alot to get notice, the devs notice 2 things.
1.) their own beilefs of how the game should be
2.) numbers
