if you want to be viable in pvp, choose a ranged profession, or find a way to sneak up on ppl, it's silly to continue to ask for pvp help from the devs! you are a melee class, and that means you fight up close. stop complaining. if you want to melee pvp get master brawler for lunge2 and stop asking for stretch armstrong arms! i mean come on you can hit just as far as a friggin combat staff now! does that seem right? this is a role playing game, play your roles as meleers! if you want to role play a ranged player go choose a ranged profession! I mean come on, anyone seen Indiana Jones? remember the scene with the swordsman? bang one shot done! deal with it this game is supposed to reflect at least some realism. YES we do need ham reductions, but as far as pvp goes that is the way it should be. i would say it would be a high estimate to be able to beat 1 in 5 ranged opponents with a melee char and that is the way it should be. once in a while you get lucky and can burst and take down 2-3 at once, but that is the once in awhile chance that it should be. I am a master swordsman/pikeman and i don't complain when i get my assss handed to me on a platter because that is the way it should be! deal with it or quit.

still we do need more range than a vibroknuckler thats ridicoulous, i think the meter thing is a terrible measurement in game because they seem to be forgeting that 5m is like 15 feet. should the range be changed? no, but maybe they need to re-work how its measured because 5m in game is standing about arms length, maybe a little further thats closer to 1m maybe 2m at the most. they shouldve just made a ingame measurement unit or something lol then my post wouldn't be this long

Witter, your so dumb if you can't spot this imbalance. You know, there's a problem when if there's slightest movement from your enemy in PvP than you are out of range and cannot hit them. How about we make it so if a ranged person moves, they can't shoot? Ya, that would be an excellent way of fixing the game. We can't hit something if they're moving cause we're out of range (and I've run behind, in front, even on top of people and it doesn't work) so we'll make all ranged people have to stop to shoot! Or at least, if they're running, give them 5% accuracy to hit their target...

I'm sorry that you can't see the imbalance. I guess people like you just take the game how it is and don't care. Have fun sending in your $15 a month just so they can neglect this class and keep giving commandos one-shot-kill weapons. Do you really feel that this is fair? You really content that the game is this imbalanced to where you have no chance if a target moves?

Cheese, 1 word, well actually 2 LUNGE 2! learn it, use it, and be decent at pvp to the extent that a melee profession should be. it has a 15+ meter range which is enuf to stop a kiter. as far as being gimped vs. pve that is something that DOES need to be changed a.s.a.p. the only viable melee profession right now is teras and they are the only ones gettin any love from the devs lol. anyways maybe you should think a little before posting that someone is stupid Cheese.

Okay, so we're supposed to be able to customize ourselves in the game to be virtually anything we want (within learning limits). I am a master weaponsmith/master artisan. Now I decide I want to take up a fighting class to give myself some balance. I don't really want to be ranged because I like the animations for it and I come from Ryloth[Ilived not so close to the core on a not so technologically advanced planet](while we're on the whole idea of RolePlaying) so I decide to take up pikeman.... Now I don't have enough points to master brawler and master pikeman after I've spent them all in the artisan area. I have enough to master either or. Why should I be forced to master brawler in order to do anything to any other player? Now as it is, pikeman also need some medic skills in order to advance, so there goes some more skill points? What would you have me do?

Now agreed, we should be at a disadvantage when it comes to ranged weapons to some extent.... but honestly if they made us a playable profession, why make us pay 15 bucks a month just to get slaughtered? I'm not sure if you've ever actually been a brawler, but it's frustrating when you get the "Target is out of range" and then actually catch up to them and are right on top of them and have to wait for your next round of combat to kick in, only to have them move too far away and get the "Target is out of range" message again....It's sorta sad if we have to spend how many ever skill points to get a skill (not to mention the time spent to get eachtree upin weapons you really don't like to use or don't want to use, or don't fit your RP)just to join our commrades who do have it or are marksman in a little fun.

So where are the throwing weapons for brawlers? Shouldn't we be able to throw javelins, daggers, throwing axes, stars even? Whynot give us some sort of advanced technology that we throw (perhaps in a javelin style) and it latches on to anyone wearing armor and we have a little "reel" sort of thing and let us pull them closer to us? Why not let us poison or weapons so that if it even scratches you the poison runs in and takes it's course? Why make it so we're incredibly inaccurate and waste all our HAM swinging at you without ever hitting? If we're that close and you're trying to get a lock on us, you're definately not going to be jumping around all over the place, you're a decently easy target. We're the ones that are supposed to be moving around a bunch and you're the ones that are supposed to have a hard time hitting us because we're all over you....
