I am so sorry guys i could take it no longer. I surrendered all my Pike skills this weekend. Why you ask simple i was on endor fighting zoca boars and i can normally take them out no problem, but i was surrounded by 3 of them. I know i cannot take 3 of them by myself dying was not the problem, its missing everysingle time i tried to do swing attack. I missed 4 times on all of them!

so when i cloned i was like screw this i drop all my pike skills i was 2/2/2/1-gone, bye bye, see you later! I will og back to the skill when(and even IF) the devs decide to fix the class. As for now i am going to a class i know that is getting the attention COMMANDO. The end is here.

As a testament to the level of suck pikeman has reached, I wish you only the best, even though you dropped my favorite combat class. I wouldn't blame anyone after waiting 4 months for some kind of balance.

I respect your decision on dropping but I do not agree with you. My level as a Pikeman is 4,2,4,3 and I'm kicking some major a$$, I'm also using Warcry 2, intimidate 2 and stunt 2, it helps alot. Good luck to you.

Melee professions have gotten way better in this patch for sure. Mmmmm.... warcry.... mmmmmm... dizzy.

I hope you have a run in with a pikeman who uses warcry on you before you get a flame off then smacks you down with a 2.5x damage polearmhit3 . He'll probably miss, but I can dreamcan't I?

I can sympathize completely with you Woorak. I made it completely up the pikeman tree to Master Pikeman and I still miss on moves I shouldn't be (A KnockDown followed by polearm hit 3 shouldn't miss 40% of the time...I mean they should be almost prone targets on the ground **ARGH**). Got so fed up with this, that I too gave up being a master pikeman (Course part of this was because of capping on pikeman exp....**sigh** For those that haven't hit this yet, if you max out on a melee/ranged skill, then you get 0skill and 1 combat exp per fight. For pikeman the max exp is 900k)

I don't think I could ever give up completely on pikemen though. Even though it is a busted class, there are still some nice attacks. Being sauced up 99% of the time on tatooine sunburn also helps immensely. A KD followed by actionBleed1 or 2 is very nice. You can hit up to 3-4k in bleeding damage. Just make certain you do actionBleed1 followed by 2 since 2 has a large recovery time. Anyways, I am still messing around with a TKA/Pikeman mix. Due to melee still not being able to tank, I have had to sacrifice some pikemen abilities to accomodate for the continued use of pets. So far it has been a very interesting combo. At least TKAs can get a decently effective dizzy move relatively early in their tree. It is lots of fun to dizzy and KD a humanoid NPC. They don't get up 50% of the time, but they still twitch on the ground

Well best of luck with whatever you decide Woorak. If you ever want a melee skill worth messing around with, then play a TKA once. At least SoE did something right with that class. Nice all around skills in most of the skill boxes going up the TKA tree, unlike pikeman which is relatively barren of interesting skills/stats.

Too bad, but I can sympathize. If it weren't for the huge amount of work and shuffling, I would also bail. I am out of skill points, and now I only get 1 combat xp for every kill. That is the only pikebox that I was going to go for, (3) to finish out my skills. Now there is no way to get there for 700 years, at 1 pt at at time.

I keep reading tips in these forums about how good warcry2 is or int2, but if you don't have mast. Brawler you are hooped again. Sigh...

i do plan on coming back to the pikeman profession i just need a major break from it. I was a pikeman since July and never got any fixes and even though in the patch notes it said they lowered the HAM costs for moves but they didn't. I made sure i knew how much they costed pre-patch. And guess what as you all know they didnt fix it.

Like i said i think i just need a change and break from Pikeman. But i still love pikeman profession best melee class there is.

master brawler isnt worth it if i asked me was awesome when kd worked in old days but not now. I dropped it and im doing doc now, doing med c enhancements anytime i want is sweet.

wow i cant amagine if i was a real class like tka with doc hmmmm
