Pikemen:
Problem #1:
No clear class definition and underpowered abilities.
Solution #1:
Similar to the fencer, I see the pikemen as the brother class to riflemen. They should do very high damage but at the trade off of lower speed. I don’t think I want to make range a defining characteristic, as the range limitations cause playability issues for all melee classes. Fixing it for pikemen will leave the other classes with the same problems.
Problem #2:
Negative to hits at close range for some weapons.
Solution #2:
I don’t like the negative ranges in the slightest bit. I’ll see what I can get changed from the weapon crafting side to negate these modifiers. It will probably be on new weapons only

I’m aware of the problems your class is having. Until I finish redefining the new melee baseline I won’t be able to offer a full list of changes I’m going to apply to your class, but rest assured I will work until I feel I have brought your class in line with the rest of the more popular professions

Tanking ability:
So the new command I was describing will actually make your "active passive defensive moves" fire more often. What it will actually do is dramatically increase your saving throw roll for those types of moves for a duration. So a fencer will dodge, pikemen will counterattack and Teras Kasi will get one of each. Addition of this move doesn’t preclude a general increase of these defensive moves.
Ok so we are suppose to counter attck, and not block....

ah, Gun(pike)man, when were those Top 5's that we just now, got anwsers from? I just was back browsing and found this thread I made, and these were deffinatly not mentioned in the issues..
