Ok...I am halfway to having the novice pikeman box filled up. I had been hunting durni, nuna, butterflies (small weak stuff) and I have been getting 90 to 130 xp per kill...they can't hurt me at all...I am NEVER in trouble andWHEN I do land a blow BAM they are dead because they take 300 to 900 dmg.

Tonight I decide to go up to Dantoonie and get in a group (feeling social and want to hunt BIG GAME)...so I get in a group of about 10 people. We grab piket missions (have done this a billion times I can tell you more about a piket lair then you would ever want to know)

The group is two people working on pikeman, a novice carbineer, a ch with two GSP, and a couple other people with guns and a TKA...we SHOULD not have any problem with piket...

well the first piket we fight I miss 10 times in a row! it is dead and i get KILLED! mind incapped and DB (piket protector)...I am disgusted! I started with a special...then a stun attack...then realize i have agro...back up...piket follows...I throw a heal on myself and then get mind incapped and DB...

I get back to the group and we kill a few piket I get about 300 xp pre piket kill as I hit wind 99% of the time.

I am using a LVA...it has high ham and -50 across the board (is this a bug or by design????)

What weapon should I use? I have not used a lance. I am thinking of grabbing one and giving it a shot.

Not meaning to whine in this post...but that is what happend to me tonight and it is sooooooooooo different than any other fighting class...I have done pistoleer, BH, TKA, Fencer, Rifleman and Pikeman has me frustrated even before I am a pikeman...

Does the accuracey (spelling error) get any better (please say yes!!!)

those Pikets are evil I tell you!

welcome to the life of a pikeman... lol jk. but some good advice is dont use lva till you get more accuracy from the combat xp branch. pick up a basic lance, you'll feel much better about yourself.

it gets much better. Master pikeman is great.

the pickets also have a vuln to electricity so use a vibro lance if you want a bit higher damage, i dropped pikeman only to get to be a new holo pikeman lol, with that VL you will own them quickly

I used an LVA as soon as I could until I could use a vibro lance...but I had an unusually low accuracy LVA...brutally insane damage though, but brutally low accuracy...
