I got master pikeman in 5 days. Wanna know how? Read on...
Formula is simple. You need area attack. It could be Polearm Spin Attack 1 (Polearms IV). You have to be novice pikeman when you try this. It won't work if you are not. You will also need composite helm and chest plate. They help a lot. Also, get yourself good long vibro axe. Mine was 460 max dmg, 4.5 speed.
1) Get buffed (master doc buff)
2) Go to Dantooine (any outpost, I always went to mining outpost)
3) Get 2 huurton missions.
4) When you get to the mission aim at lair and spam Polearm Spin Attack 1. As you hit lair, more and more huurtons will come. Your Spin attack should be hitting them all. keep hitting untill lair is dead.
5) If your mind goes down fast, use muon gold. It helps a lot. It gives you 10 min, which is normally enough to finish both missions.
I started on this scheme when i was 1-0-3-1, i was able to spam Polearm Stun 2 and Polearm Sweep 2. It worked like a charm. Stun makes them twice slower, and sweep keeps them down.
Once, you level use other area attacks to kill huurtons. Once regular huurtons become easy, move to Huurton Howlers, and eventually Huurton Huntresses. This method allowed me to get approximately 150k exp per hour.

p.s. rumor that you get merchant after mastering pikeman is false. my first holo was pikeman, second is droid engineer.

I wonder how many more there will be? Oh well... *starts bumping posts up over stupid holopost* it must... drownnice strat. Although i would say take Quenker missions, as they only have like 4000 health i believe, rather than the 9000 health that hurrtons have.
holo said pikeman yesterday, just now about to get novice pikeman ...sigh::: this profession is driving me insane. I mean how HARD is it to hit something with a 8 foot pole in your hand........yet missing is the trend these days....
