Honestly, pikeman is not a profession worth dabbling into IMHO. The reason is in this class the difference between Master and anything below it is like night and day. When the new combat changes take hold it may be different. As of now no. Being a master doc will really help in this class. My character is a Zabrak, I max out all 3 mind stats and the other 4 secondary stats. Then buff myself. The downfall...when I'm not buffed I am like a turtle out of my shell. When I'm buffed it's a whole different story.

I was master holo pikeman with master doctor. The pikeman is horrible in the beginning, but much better as you advance. His area knockdown and area attacks are off the handle. However, like the previous poster said, the pikeman isnt very good unless you are master with Long Vibro Axe with some good powerups. My 2 cents for you. i have moved on to master chef and then merchant, but pike was fun... i think? lol. no seriously, it was very time consuming, but i did get to see more aspects of the game.

I Quote: "You will likely not see many (if any) Jedi in game for a long time (likely months). We're not kidding. Jedi are rare in this time period (between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back). Becoming a Jedi and surviving as a Jedi is very very very very difficult (and rewarding) in Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided."

My advice is don't dabble. You won't enjoy the experience. BUT, if you are going to do it, you need to get the accuracy mods. There's no way you're going to be able to do anything if you plan on going 4040. If that's all the space you can spare, I'd suggest 0044 or 4004.
