Thread: Kimos stand no chance

Yesterday I solo'd my first Kimogila on the desert planet Lok. I am a 0020 pikeman with exceptional armor, 75-80 resisits on everything. A pretty powerful, but slow LVA and lots of Polearm Hit 2 did the trick on the Kimo. However, I got a measly 3700XP for killing him. It took 2 rounds and 20minutes to kill the sucker, and I couldn't even get a picture standing inside his dead, gaping maw because I was attacked by snakes. Alas, Pikeman is TOTALLY sweet, but I only have 3 skill points left. 0030 will be a respectable finish I suppose, I mean I can solo Kimos and what else is there? Krayts?

gona go after my first solo krayt soon, just need a chance to fight un-interupted... ya
legendary kimo scales? the heck are the stats on those?
10% base, 9% kinetic 
make some uber 15% bone armor, lol

The ones i looted where not even exceptional but where 40% to heat and a few other things buti destroyed them cause its bone armor and would have a ton of vulns anyhow

are your other profs master musician/master dancer/master entertainer like in your sig? or do you have an alt with like master fencer/master brawler/master swords/pikeman 0/0/3/0? 
if it's the former, wow and nice job (you still sure it wasnt a hatchling?), if it's the latter, still nice job, but that would make more sense

I don't have an alt. I am a 0020 pikeman. I was using a VL, 4.1 94-294. It had a +60 max powerup or something that ran out half way through the battle. It took about 6 minutes to get his health pool down half way when I got to about 2 health and ran. I sat to recoup, then I went for round two. I did him in by spamming PH2. I had full buffs, brandy, and 75%-80% armor. All it said above the thing's head was a Kimogila, it was pretty huge, I don't think it was a hatchling. /con red, 25k ham. I have a screenie of it, but I'm too lazy to resize it. I lots of me fighting it while it shows my master dancer title above my head, and it shows my xp monitor for expert polearm defense. Totally an epic battle though.

A normal kimo then
havent found a random spawn of them for months 
and the giant sand dune is always getting killed by lamers with harvesters

they fixed the harvester thing yesterday, it's in the patch notes
