Thread: Ok, I'm not very happy ...

Did a little bit of PvPing last night. Tried to go completely with my pike rather than switching over to a rifle.
So, I get in the middle of a group of around 3 guys. Start using spinatttack2 and areaattack2. I get knockdown/dizzied and then get shot in the head till incap. No problems, I have done that enough to other folks that having it done to me is only fair play.
But, I went back to check my combat logs to see how I did damage wise. Now, I was only using a regular LVA with no powerup... Max damage around 485. I hit those 3 guys around me each time, but was only hitting for 150 or so a shot. That's crazy.
Was I just getting some horrible damage rolls or is that pretty much how it goes?

Yeah, I have 2 VL's that each have a nice poison to them.
I was just wondering because doing the math means my damage hits before the 75% reduction were only at around 700 or so. That is horribly weak.
Wait... they were all in comp armor... assuming that it is 70 base comp... but adding in the 25% for medium armor piercing... well, that is closer to a1600 hit.
What's that say about Pikeman as a profession if we hit a base damage roll of 1600 and can only squeeze out 150 damage.

thats how it goes. if you duel other people like friends 1 on 1 you'll see the difference. I dueled a friend piker yesterday and he had composite on and i didn't my max damage on him with polehit 3 was 150. it sucks but there really isn't much you can do about it. The combat patch comes out in 6 months or so and I think it looks pretty good for pikeman unless the Devs forget us....

here are some fun things....
Long Vibro Axe- 150-500 Damage....supposing its a pretty nice one
PvP reduction -75% = 37.5-125 Damage
If you are fighting a non-armored/non-melee player, this is your new damage
If they are wearing say....70% ubese....your values are now....11.25-37.5
If they are unarmored melee then....
Mitigation -60% to the gap...so((125-37.5) X .4) + 37.5 = new damage = 37.5-72.5
TKA toughness -57% = 16.125-31.175
Fencer Toughness -33% = 24.75-47.85
Swordsman Toughness -46% = 20.25-39.15
Pikeman Toughness -26% = 27.75-53.65
Armored melee with 70% kinetic defense ubese=
TKA = 4.8-9.35
Fencer = 7.425-14.355
Swordsman = 6.075-11.745
Pikeman = 8.325-16.095
Okay those are the valuse of your new axe. Congratulations.
After all that goes down. Multiply your base values by..1.85 for your in game damage. Then multiply that by X3 for your polearm hit 3 damage.
Then armor piercing, wich is like...+25% for each level ou are above them. so for unarmored, you get +50%, and for armored you get +25%
But, our pikeman deseases and (weapon)bleeds, and fires, and poisons, don't get reduced AT all...thats why they are so important.
And it is really only so much in pvp we are screwed. Most things you fight in the wild don't have the Pvp reduction, mitigation, toughness, and armor on.
